The Alibi used to be my spot to hang out. The last few years...not so much. The new owner does a good job, but it's not the Alibi that I frequented for over 10 years. The vibe isn't the same. The bathrooms are still horrendous so it's got that going for it. If you do stop in be sure to get a Hot Sausage poboy and wash it down with their signature Bloody Mary. They're still pretty good, more expensive but then again...everything is these days.
We went but only went in for a moment. I'm giving them a 4 star rating because it they had a nice bar and would have been a fun place to hang out. I'm not sure if this sign is up all the time, but there was a sign up front stating " 1 Drink Minimum Per Person" and a few other requirements for entry. This was in the middle of the day, maybe 230ish PM on a Saturday. While the other requirements were reasonable, my spouse was hungover and didn't feel like having a cocktail that afternoon, so we had to pass. It was a shame since it was my pick, and we walked 8 blocks to get there. Maybe next trip.
It's a dive bar that charges the same prices as everywhere else, but with bartenders that are kind of rude. They also add a several dollar charge onto credit card transactions. You will definitely be able to find a seat, if you go there, but you can do better.
Good bar service and strong drinks. Just a short distance from Bourbon street. Several large screens with sports. For me, if they would play music instead of sportscasters it would make everyone happy.
Some of the food is tasty while the others can be weak. None of it is fancy but it can hit the right spot when you are in the mood for it. They do have a really good beer selection and it is close enough to bourbon street but far enough it doesn't garner the crazy crowds. I can personally recommend the hot sausage. Throw some mayonnaise and hot sauce on it and you are good to go.
Bartender and owner were so accommodating. Really enjoyed ourselves. We actually came back at end of the evening. Try the infused bloody Mary vodka and the vodka lemonade!
Good food late night. I love some touch tunes jukebox. Won $100 on video poker Disco Dolphin. And, had a good bloody Mary + a woodchuck amber.
Alibi on Iberville & Erin rose on Conti are fantasti! Best just off bourbon bars to have a pre-beer or visit after you are tired of all the loud sounds of the bourbon street party scene.
Awesome little bar off the beaten path. Large cocktail variety They have touch tunes Sam, transplant from New Jersey, is an coolest and personal bartender we've met. She's phenomenal!!
If you like a good old fashioned dive bar that treats you well and makes a stiff drink any time of day or night, this is the place.
