The Alpine Lodge features 14 cozy guest rooms and 3 kitchen suites all decorated in Adirondack style furniture. This is the perfect place to come by yourself, with a partner or with your family!

Story

The Alpine Lodge features 14 cozy guest rooms and 4 kitchen suites decorated in the style reminiscent of the classic Adirondack Great Camps. Each individually decorated guest room in the Lodge is cozy, and features a television with DVD player, CD player, Wi-Fi, specially designed furnishings, and private bathroom with stall shower. Some rooms boast a gas wood-stove and/or Jacuzzi s. Daily housekeeping and linen provided. Centrally located to enjoy all the options the Adirondacks offer; skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, rafting, tubing, hiking, swimming, biking, fishing, golf and more! Easy drive to Adirondack Museum in Blue Mt. Lake, Lake George (1/2 hour), Lake Placid (1 hour), and Saratoga (1 hour).

We stayed here for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. The room was cute with a rustic feel. The way the room was laid out was a little odd. There is a "hall" that winds past the sink then past the toilet before getting to the shower. Everything was clean. My one complaint is that the concierge wasn't able to suggest any nice hikes for an older couple who were in the office the same time I was. She kept telling them to look through some guide book and pick one. She was friendly, but there are many hikes in the area of varying difficulty and it can be hard to choose one from a guide book.

The good. The room is new and clean. The construction is of good quality and fits well in the Adrondacks. Covered spot to sit out front of the room and a nice balcony out back. The bad. The room is small. There was one wooden chair to sit on and not comfortable. We had three bags, one large and two medium sized. Once we put those in the room we did not have much room to move around. The WiFi was going in and out, constantly dropping out. They have direct tv. That did not work, maybe I am missing something. We tend to go hard during the day and like to have 1 or 2 hours of down time at night. Yes I check my emails on vacation who doesn't! The town is nice but much more geared to the ski crowd. If your the type that skis all day and drinks all night and goes to the room to pass out, this room will be fine. If you want to spend that hour or two in the room, you may not be very happy. Looked great on the internet. What doesnt.

The Alpine Lodge is great. The rooms are large and comfortable. The décor gives it a nice cozy atmosphere as well. It's very clean as well. It has a handful of places in walking distance to get food or drinks. The employees are nice and willing to help but they're not in your face, perfect if you ask me. The only downfall to this place that I could say is that there's no refrigerator in the rooms. If I'm looking for someplace to stay in this area of the Adirondacks again I will not hesitate to stay here, and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to someone else.

Nice little spot. Clean with everything you need for a agood weekend of skiing. Minimal, but very nice staff. Right in the middle of town. Walking distance to a few bar and a ten minute ride to the mountain on the shuttle, which stops at the lodge.
