The financial Aid department have bad service, i'm not happy

I briefly attended AI of Philly from late 1997-early 1998. I loved living in Philly, so I wish I was there for any other reason than going to AI. Even back then the quality of instructors must have been going downhill because so many of them really had no business standing in front of a classroom. But my biggest complaint is that after I left the school, they immediately sent my account over to a law firm that acted as their collection agency. I paid my remaining debt in full to the law firm in 1999 and never heard from that law firm again. Now suddenly, in 2017, the Art Institute of Philadelphia is telling me that I still owe them money! What the actual...???!!! I wish that in 1998 I could have read of people's terrible experiences with AI, because that would have prevented me from making a huge mistake. If you are considering attending this school (or any others in the AI chain), please, for the love of all that is holy, DON'T. Go in the Army instead!

If i could give zero stars for this review I would. Do not send your child there. I have experience with colleges and how they work, financial disbursement and all. The financial aid department has a staff with zero financial background. Constantly give you different answers, do not return phone or emails. It's sad that my daughter had such high hopes when starting there. Now all I do is spend my time showing the financial department how to do their jobs.

Reading all of these reviews is disheartening. The school has obviously went downhill since I was there. I graduated in the early 90's when it was still a highly respected school. Most of my teachers were great, knowledgeable and accessible if you needed them. I never had any major issues with financial aid or anything else. I loved it! It's sad to see that the whole chain has gone to hell. :(

Do not go here! You will not graduate on time unless you're a culinary or fashion major 😂😂
