Went for lunch, place was packed with a 30 minute wait. Decided to sit and have lunch at the deli. Got meatball sandwich and Moody's version of a Reuben.

 Was not impressed with the food. The Reuben has 1 flavor profile and that was the bread. Couldn't taste the corn beef, kraut, and the thousand island dressing was extremely subtle. When you make a sandwich like that each ingredient needs to hold it's own and work together well. This was not the case.

The meatball parm was a very sweet ground meat combination that again just blended in with the sweet sauce and the mild cheese. 

I would not recommend these 2 sandwiches. Maybe they have something better, I don't know but it will be a while before I decide to go back and give them another try.

Greatest restaurant in Waltham. Super friendly staff - all the employees are engaging, outgoing, and polite. If your server is Helen you're gonna have a great dining experience. She's the best!

The food is tremendous, packed with flavor, portioned very generously, and worth every penny. Whether you're ordering appetizers, entrees, or desserts, you will not be disappointed.

Very tasty food, especially the charcuterie. Excellent service - friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered an extra dessert (the deconstructed tiramisu) to go. My friend ate the tiramisu the next day and thought it was simply exquisite. Only suggestion: Please lower the volume of the music. It's way too loud. As a result, I'm not sure I will return - despite enjoying the restaurant otherwise.

I went here with a few friends to watch the super bowl and get some awesome Trillium beer. I was really impressed by the liquor selection and amazing charcuterie plates they had. The service was fast and the bartender made some great suggestions and cocktails for us.

I had only been to Moody's for lunch and some meats, but this was my first visit to the Backroom. The food was stellar, both in quality and presentation.  The service was fantastic and our server was extremely attentive as well as super passionate about the menu.  Great place to get a reservation and plan to sit for a long dining experience.  Really cool menu to explore with a diverse beer, wine & liquor selection
