Very good, very classic New England fare. Lobster roll (5oz $15.99): When I think of a lobster roll, I think of something that tastes like this. Toasted roll, butter, a hint of mayo maybe, and lobster chunks. Clam chowder (bowl $7.49): When I think of New England clam chowder, I think of something that tastes like this. Thick and hearty and piping hot. Just like it's supposed to be. Big Catch ($9.99) for a fish sandwich and fries: The fries are medium cut and decent. The most notable thing about the fish sandwich is how big the fillet is - basically the entire back half of a fish, extending out of the bun. Everything else about the sandwich is basically forgettable, they could really stand a better bun at the least.

Food was pretty good. Wait staff were friendly. A bit crowded and hectic. Some of the help behind the counter were interesting to watch... Disorganized due to the large crowd. But overall an enjoyable experience and we would return.

Place was dirty, no one greeted us at the counter. We waited a good 5 minutes until someone stepped to the counter to take our order. I ordered the 5 oz. lobster roll which was pricey at 16.99. My husband ordered the shrimp basket. We sat outside because the place was grimey. Our food came and we couldn't believe how small the portions were. They looked like child meals and nothing to write home about! SO disappointed in this place. Best lobster rolls around? I think NOT! Waste of $37 for sure! Never going back!

We have been looking for a good seafood resteraunt and The Beach Plum didn't disappoint!!!!! Portions were big and the food was amazing. We will definitely come back for seconds =)

Best lobster roll I had in Maine. Great roll. Fresh, sweet lobster. Not too much mayo. Delicious. Didn't eat anything else. it is a fast food restaurant.
