Really good German food! We had a sausage sampler plate to try different menu items and had the schnitzel, sauerkraut, two different sausages, and it was all delicious! The curry sauce is also really good. The owner was very friendly and a good host. Will definitely return if we're ever in town again.
Stopped here during a buddies bachelor party. Owner is very friendly and the food is good. It was just the owner and his wife making all the food so it took a little longer but we weren't in a rush anyways. Super great german beer selection on draft and even more in bottles. Stop in for a relaxing time!
I ordered the schnitzel, it was very thin but overall my dinner tasted authentic. The beer was definitely the highlight. The building is beautiful and historic. We had a fun time with our friends.Food: 3/5
A work in progress and in their defense we did visit their Oktoberfest on Sat. at 14:00 hrs. They did have a duo playing German/Polish music. We would have stayed later to see if maybe things picked up however we couldn't afford it. There was no cover charge but it cost us $20 for 2 beers and 4 sauerkraut balls. kinda expensive I think. I honestly hope things got better as the night went on. PROST
Very nice German pub and restaurant, German beer on tap, many other bottled imports and domestics! Authentic menu, great food and service. Banquet hall available for events and beer garden out back, weather permitting. Very private dinner space, if you like German food and drink, you will not be disappointed!
This is a great local German bar in Sandusky with an ode to German and Sandusky heritage! They also host events and live music on certain nights. Worth checking out. The owner can usually be seen behind the bar and is wealth of knowledge about German history in northern Ohio.
Good food and good beer. We just missed the Octoberfest celebration but still had a nice night outside listening to some German polka and beer hall songs.
A small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place for German food when you are in Sandusky! Huge variety of German beer to choose from & side dishes are delicious as well. The owner was very nice man and explained the different German foods. He also made me a "rattlesnake beer". Half German beer and half lemon ginger ale. My God it was the best beer I ever drank
Had a lovely experience hosting my bridal shower at the Boeckling Club! The owners were helpful, kind, and very accommodating when we wanted to bring in additional decorations for the space. The food was delicious! Would highly recommend.
This is a recently opened German restaurant and bar that is still growing. There was a small, but awesome beer selection including German beers of course. The food available now is a small menu, but everything was very good. The owner the night I went was bartending and cooking, so it is a small operation for the time with big plans. He tells us he plans to open a beer garden the only one in Sandusky later in 2018. Can't wait to come back to this amazing bar / restaurant!
