Story

It started in the garden with Teresa Sabankaya who was a hobby enthusiast. Working her way up from selling bunches from the garden to buying the flower shop formerly known as Flower's by Concha. It was very small, quaint, and ready to do big things. 1520 K2 Pacific Ave. was the home of Bonny Doon Garden Company for the next six years. We saw all kinds, and types of people there, got national publicity and even made it in a book! Now we've moved into New Leaf's Westside store and have created and nurtured this amazing symbiotic relationship. I, Kristin, worked with Teresa starting in 2007 at the age of 20. I recently took the shop over from Teresa since she's always working towards bigger and better things. And I am too sentimental to see this place go. She's now started Tessa's Garden which specializes in Weddings & Events and has also turned that amazing garden into a wedding venue. I am working towards expanding on what she started. We do custom wrapped and vased arrangements for all occasions. We delivery to most of Santa Cruz County. And advanced notice is always appreciated but not necessary.
