I am a long time customer of The Book Exchange and am so thankful Sydney offers this great place to Hickory! Being an avid reader I always find several books each time I go there. When I finish them, I can exchange them. What a deal! For those who read a great deal it's a "no brainer" place to go...and supports a locally owned business rather than a chain store.

Great prices (all books upstairs are less than $5). I purchased a Steinbeck book for $1. The staff is extremely friendly. In fact, as an out of towner she shared a story of a road trip through my neck of the woods and I am sworn to secrecy of her favorite part of the trip. 

Bonus features: The most impressive collection of romance novels have ever seen and the owners are conscious of the environment.
