Pool table, jukebox, cold beer glasses, bar food, booths to eat in and a large parking lot. Had the special today, hamburger, which was a good size and tasty for a small bar food place. Also had the buoy fries which were so crispy, mmmhm. If you want a clean mom and pop place with great service you gotta stop by here! 8/2022 hours Mondays : CLOSED Tues-Sun : 2pm-10pm Parking: Large parking lot that wraps around to the back.
My new favorite bar! Fantastic owner, patrons, drinks, and food.
So much more than a place to have a drink this place has amazing food nice people and really cute dogsFood: 5/5
We loved this place. Great bar food at really good prices. The bartender, Brian, was very friendly. There was a DJ the night we were there and she played a alot of different types of music. We are new to the area and the locals welcomed us in We will definitely go back many times
Lady Myra and I walked in here to grab a bite to eat. We tried to go here before but the previous place appeared,to us, always closed. Now the Buoy Was a local hangout in Morro Bay on Main St. In North Morro Bay. So we walk in and are immediately greeted by a waist sized dog approaching us? Okay-I asked him/her for 3 beers and a menu. The bar is filled. The front tables filled with definite locals but the buffed ,silver tables with light blue padded booths were empty so the frie fly dog escorted us to the closest one or did he just follow us in hopes of a food tip? I grabbed a menu from the bar and well it was a bar menu. One of the patrons told me the enchiladas were greatnot on the menu so we ordered beef enchiladas an shrimp tempura. The owner came out to take our request. I am sure he works hard every day but his affect was relaxed, soft spoken and easy going. Everybody there seemed to know each othereven when other dogs came in - they also appeared to know each other- kind of like The Sea Shanty in Cayucos Anyway- I had an 805 tap that was cold and welcomed. He brought the food over. The enchiladas have to be homemade! Stuffed with beef and cheese. No pre'packaged stuff can be that generous! Slightly spicy but not overwhelming check! Just downright good- served on paper plate and plastic utensils - oh heck- was easier to just inhale! The shrimp tempura came with 5 shrimp about 5 to 5 1/2 inches long in a deep fried batter and and a perfect sized plastic thingy of that pink sauce. We ate , drank and listened to the conversations around us. The owner called me by first name when he thanked me as I signed the bill$20.00forgot the tip-will make it up next time He said that the good folks of the last location of the Buoy had followed him to this location - with a smile. The place is clean, the bathrooms are clean and its bar food- not big meals. I could not help but feel he wanted to keep this place a hidden gem for the locals - heck I would.
Brian the owner was very friendly. We talked a bit about our past/ backgrounds. Also, prices were very reasonable for the food and drinks that we got.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Great food and service. Had the salmon bento box and a chicken pot pie. The hot food was hot; cold food cold. Yes, we are locals and used to fresh fish, but the teriyaki salmon was to die for! The whole meal was fresh and delicious. The chicken pot pie was of equal quality and tasty-ness. Definitely returning to The Buoy for great food and munchies.
Very clean locals bar. Friendly people. Great owner. Best kept secret is their food. Love the bento meals.
My girlfriends and I had the Time of our lives it was a wonderful experience and we will go back every Tuesday in the future
Bar owner/bartender disrespectful & rude!! to female patrons. Not a friendly bar !!!! I wouldn't recommend this place. NOT A SAFE PLACE!! In addition it's been said he serves old fish.
