So I was craving seafood and came to THE CATCH for the 1st time. Great customer service, clean environment, perfect Margarita and food. The food was flavored and cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be back.Food: 5/5
When we want a quick cheap but good meal we like coming here. I had The grilled white fish with red beans and rice. Yum. The fried shrimp is also a favorite. My hubby likes the catfish as well Definitely get the hush puppies. The food has been consistently tasty both in restaurants or to go but the tables are almost always dirty. Wipe them down before you enjoy your food.
Good food and awesome deals!! This will be one of my favorite spot!!! They $20.24 special is awesome, it's for one person meal. They also have byob!!!Food: 5/5
The best thing in my book is the free frozen margarita with the meal. I think it's a little expensive for what it is but hey maybe that's inflation. The food was good but not quite our normal Cajun place and this is in the same price range. I liked the decorations and the patio seems like people would hang out there at night. I'll be coming back to try more things and consolidate my opinion Parking: Tons
My husband and I decided to come here because it was raining and we just wanted something quick and casual to dine in. The young ladies at the counter were very friendly and helpful. I had the 1/2 pound boiled shrimp and my husband had the fried catfish dinner. The food was really good, the boil was well seasoned. I had the beignets and I was disappointed, considering I’m used to the ones in NOLA. They were a bit greasy and heavy and not as flaky as the originals. Other than that, the overall experience was very nice. I would visit again.
I was happy to experience a delightful restaurant as this. The table seating was spacious. The food was hot with great service.Food: 4/5
TLDR; Decent food, dirty seating area Husband ordered chicken and waffles, which was okay. It was good but he said there were crunchy bits of solid sugar or something in the waffles. The crawfish was $8.99/lb which was not bad. Not sure if they were fresh or frozen though. Size was decent but some were quite dirty. Full house seasoning was excellent and the mild spice level still had a kick. Shrimp etoufee was good too. Now to the bad part-- the inside was dirty. Nobody was cleaning tables off or taking out trash. And we couldn't throw our trash out because the one and only trash area was overflowing. The table behind ours had dirty plates and trash on it when we got there and still had not been cleaned up by the time we left. We had to wipe down our on table. As did every other customer that we saw come in. It was not extremely busy to the point that nobody could take out the trash or ensure tables were clean for new customers.
All the food was amazing, except the gumbo. I'm from Louisiana and the Roux tasted a little burnt and it was too thin as far as texture. The fried green tomatoes were out of this world... I have not had them.like that since I left home Monroe, La back in 2000. The atmosphere was nice and you get a complimentary daiquiri, which was fruity and sweet... barely any alcohol in it, so you don't have to worry about being intoxicated when you get ready to leave.
1st time going to this spot, we always said we would try it out. We didn't know that they had a drive thru, which was OK. So, I'm not sure of the atmosphere. But the food was fresh to cook . the portions size could have been more for the price .I got the fried fish with 3 jumbo shrimp with my side as corn and potatoes. The fish was small, and the shrimp was a medium size, not jumbo. My husband got the blacken fish over a bed of rice and cream shrimp topping he didn't get a lot of rice, I think a half scoop. His fish was flavorful with the cream sauce. I will try it again. Maybe the portions will be better the next time. But I will be back.
I love coming to this location. The customer service is always excellent. A huge shoutout to the manager Asia. She is so kind and you can tell she enjoys her job. She needs a raise.Food: 4/5
