the Church At Acworth (Formerly Christ the King Church)

Story

We are a local congregation of followers of Jesus Christ.

We aren't about programs, personalities or show. If you want a program for every idea/need/hobby, then we may not be the best fit for you.

We assemble together first and foremost to worship our Savior, our King and the Lover of our souls. We spend extended times (compared to many churches) in worship, and it is our highest priority in our Sunday gatherings.

We strongly desire to be students of God's Word, through personal study as well as corporate teachings.

We believe in gathering, not just once a week, but as often as possible, to share our lives together.

We desire to see a community built which creates relationships to encourage and challenge each other along in our "walk of Faith". We acknowledge that a once a week, "Sunday service" is not enough, and encourage everyone to be in small groups and to develop relationships outside of "church functions".

We long to hasten the return of Jesus by reaching out to those who are in the kingdom of Darkness and seeing them brought into the glorious Kingdom of Light.

We desire to see strong families, comprised of men being men, women being women and children growing up the ways of God. We also realize that there are many who's families are broken and we desire to see them find a place in the "greater family" at the Church.

We long to see the widows and the orphans brought into loving families and to see ourselves unstained by the world (James 1:27)
