Atmosphere: We were greeted before the door and treated like family throughout our experience! We were introduced to the menu and the chef who makes the soup each day. As we ordered we chatted about the news, where we are from, and the weather. The Corner Café has a very friendly, genuine staff and a place where you will feel taken care of. There seemed to be a mix of regulars and new customers coming in steadily during our visit. The cafe is not large but has spacious tables and comfortable seating. Food: I chose a half of the chicken salad press sandwich and cream of mushroom soup. A great pairing of which I loved every bite. My grandmother had the french onion soup in a bread bowl which she couldn’t get enough of and a corned beef half sandwich. Perfect amount of food. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are passing through or staying in Sanford, or nearby!!

Sanford can be proud to have this business on their main street. The most friendly and accommodating people I have encountered in a long time. The great food and diverse menu also added to the 5-star rating. First visit, but will definitely be back.

Between a couple of baseball games, we stumbled in to The Corner Cafe. Not a mistake. We were greeted by the chef himself who seemed to take pride in his work. We had the onion soup and Cuban sandwiches, both of which were fantastic. Afterwards we were given tiny desserts which were banana bread crumbles with pineapple compote and whipped cream. Definitely a place that you wouldn't want to pass up.

Had a wonderful and surprising brunch with Jodie and Michael! They are super sweet and kind. The food was delicious; I had a loaded potato soup and intalian press! The soup tasted organic and hearty and the press was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Might be my new local favorite!

Just had our first lunch here. Michael and Jody are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met, and gave us some great recommendations for the surrounding area. Our meals (Cuban for me, asian pulled pork for the wife) were delicious, and the complementary dessert couldn’t have been better. All in all, great food, great coffee, great people. We stayed a good 20 minutes after our meal just talking shop with the staff. If you’re ever in the area, you won’t be dissapointed.
