This is a super unique place offering some amazing seafood. Service was a bit slow when we went but that could have been due to the fact that the fair was in town and the Alabama game was on. I'll definitely be fling back though. That fried shrimp was awesome!

The ratings for this place doesn't do it justice. Food is really good and consistent. I typically get the catfish amd shrimp which are both excellent! My husband has also had the oysters and he liked them. We have taken several people there and everyone agrees. Definitely recommend! Check the hours of operation though because they're not always open.

We really love to dine here. Great seafood without having to drive to the coast. Cost is comparable to coastal areas. Preparation is wonderful. Especially like fried oysters and scallops. Very few restaurants serve these as greatly prepared as the Cotton Gin. Always suggest this restaurant to all.

The food was inedible tasting like stale oil with fishy after flavor. Even the ice water tasted strange. The snowcrab was over boiled making the shell nearly impossible to break. Fried pickles and fried green tomatoes appetizers at $6 a pop served in a fast food cardboard fry tray so greasy no sauce could cover stale oil taste.  Catfish dinners were also too greasy to eat.  The only edible food were the green beans one person had.  Had to pick up other food from another place to eat.  Worst $100 ever spent for a meal.  If you want better tasting food for better price stop by Captain D's don't bother with this place.

Environment isn't too bad. Service wasn't bad. But the small portions and paper dinnerware were just the tip of the iceberg for an 80$ meal for two. The food was terrible. Side items arose awful. I'd call this place an "all hype" type of place. Won't be going back again.
