Fabulous! My boyfriend had been wanting to take me to The Dead Fish for a while. We sat in the bar next to the window with a great view of the Bay and an older couple celebrating an anniversary on the patio. The waiters brought them a candlelit dessert! So cute! We started with the artichoke appetizer. The breading was thin and perfectly crispy. I had the calamari steak. It was the best calamari steak I have ever had. The seafood was top quality and it was cooked superbly. My boyfriend had the crab Alfredo. It was good, but I liked mine better. I am gluten free but I tried the table bread anyway. It was worth every bite.

Had a great experience! Sat outside and enjoyed the great view. We ordered the calamari to start. My husband ordered the short ribs with half a crab and I went for the cioppino. We enjoyed everything! The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, I wish I remembered her name. The only complaint I have is the staff that initially greeted and sat us, they were less than friendly, but the rest of the experience made up for it.

stars for the food, But the service dropped this review down to 2 stars. Our waiter had no knowledge of gluten free options and when I asked the hostess for a gluten free menu, she said a guest took their only copy and they don't have another one. Very strange how a huge restaurant only has one copy. I had the mussels and shrimp on the skillet and it was delicious. After speaking with several waiters and staff I finally found one competent server and they ended up comping my $20 dinner. But will not be returning.

Excellent view of both Carquinez bridges. Reserving early got us a window table. Above average good. Better than I thought. Crab cakes loaded with crab. Really well made clam chowder. Nothing untoward.

Great food, good service. Watch out for blue Jays if you sit outside, they will steal your food right off your plate. The crab chowder used to be better, they changed the recipe. 
The carb Louie used to be better.... They also changed it.
