Unfortunately this diner for breakfast and brunch was quite disappointing. We ordered the following - Biscuits and Gravy and the Chicken & waffle entree. Food was okay, but nothing memorable. What was memorable was the service he had which was not great. I am usually VERY patient. We were set to sit on the 6th floor which was mainly the bar and high table tops which is fine but due to the high table tops we chose, we felt the server was disengaged. Our food came out quick, we had some additional questions but our server was too busy talking to another employee so I went to grab her attention and let her know our eggs came out wrong. She looked annoyed already. There was another item we needed but she was on the opposite side of the bar sitting out talking with the employee again looking out the window as if she didn’t have tables to attend. We just needed simple things such as water refills and by the time she asked if we needed the check-together or separate, we told her separate and eyes were rolled… Overall service wasn’t great and food was nothing special. We went to other breakfast/brunch spots that were the same price and better food. THE ONLY reason they are getting any stars is because the ONLY employee who was making the coffee was so kind, humble and made fantastic coffee drinks for us. We tipped him greatly since we know that he was being overworked and customers were treating him poorly due to the wait in coffee but he was running a lot of items..
Nice open air concept. I ordered the shrimps and grits and a side of biscuits. My total order was about 48.00. Pros: the shrimps and grits were really savory and had a nice flavor to them. Although the shrimps were a little overcooked, they were still very good. The biscuit were okay not as buttery as I would have liked. Cons: I would have appreciated some condiments like jam, butter, or preserves with my biscuit but it wasn’t offered. Also, the waitress didn’t visit my table again until it was time to leave so I never had a chance to ask. I also tried one of their mock tails. It was good but would have been much better frozen. Kid-friendliness: They have multiple levels. We ate on the 2nd floor which has more of an open air bar vibe but children are welcome. I wasn’t offered a children’s menu despite dining with my son.
We had a great experience in the 6th floor with an amazing bartender! Kaylie recommended some great options! We had the Blue oysters on a half shell with smashed potatoes! The view is one of a kind with 360 views of down town! Gorgeous at night with all the city lights! We can’t wait to come back & visit! Enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot Grigio and the hubs drank a cocktail! Super nice staff & all floors are immaculate! One block from Broadway! Close to everything!
This place is fun! Different restaurant on each level!! We went to the 6th floor which had a more limited menu but was still pretty good for breakfast. We had bloody Mary’s and some of their signature mimosas. The biscuits were good as was the gravy. The bar food was okay, not great. The first floor may have been tastier. This would be fun at night too!
The Diner was recommended to us and we were so glad we went. The food and drinks were delicious! We sat next to one of the open windows on the 4th floor. The chicken and waffles are the best. We will be back the next time we are in Nashville!Food: 5/5
5 stars for Harold! He was so pleasant and kind. We were on the 4th floor the lattes downstairs are not on the menu. When I inquired about getting The Bees Knees he was so gracious about going down for one. The Diner was a great low key brunch spot and the sausage gravy was WAY better than Milk & Honey’s.Food: 5/5
Very interesting multi level diner, the food is decent but seems like it's more of a drink place. The upper levels have windows to the outdoors which is cool, and the top floor is mostly a bar would recommend if other places are busyFood: 4/5
Great location, prices seem reasonable. However I am really amazed and disappointed by the fact that they only serve scrambled eggs. And the reason provided is you can't get what you want because scrambled is faster for the kitchen.LAME and lazy. Also, the reason I will not be back. Avocado toast is served with a spread not sliced Avocado. I can say for sure but it came so fast i tastes and feels like they tossed prepreparred food from steam tables. Not cooked to order. Over all a disappointed place. Many other choices to choose from close.
This is a great place to grab a bite. We ate on the 4th floor and enjoyed the view and fresh air. My Chicken wrap was good. It comes with hot chick ..which is hot! My wife thought the hot Chicken and biscuits/w gravy, was some of the best she ever had. Our waiter Harold was great.Food: 5/5
Nashville staples, especially for breakfast! It's a six story building just off Broadway with a great view for people watching. Worth checking out given the great atmosphere and good food. Service is mediocre but thats to be expected. Parking: Probably best to park in the pinnacle building. It's paid parking but super close and convenient.
