I recently had a very disappointing experience at the Drunk Munk. While eating the guacamole, I found a blonde hair I'm a brunette so it cant be mine mixed in with it. When I brought it to the attention of our waitress, her response was dismissive. She suggested it was probably dog hair, with a tone that felt condescending rather than apologetic. We decided to escalate the issue to the manager Wyatt, hoping for a more professional resolution. Unfortunately, he was just as unhelpful. Instead of taking our concern seriously, he asked what we wanted him to do about it, as if we were being unreasonable for wanting a clean dining experience. When we simply expressed that we didn’t want anything, he just had our waitress comp our drinks, which felt more like a half-hearted gesture than an actual solution. The lack of care and respect from both the waitress and the manager made this experience unacceptable. I won’t be returning.
THE BEST TIKI BAR IN ARIZONA! Perfect vibe with great food and drinks. The seltzers brand could be better. They only have high noon in awful flavors and no white claws. Great cocktails. Try the Chi Chi
This place is conveniently located in old town Scottsdale. A short walk from shopping and movie watching. Happy hour starts at 3 with appetizers at half price. Many kinds of Tiki drinks for the asking and appetizers galore. Great bartender and the atmosphere to go as a couple or meet friends for drinks and eats. Outdoor area and inside tv’s.
Great service, even during happy hour. All the staff were friendly. Drinks were good, we had 5-6 variations. Of the food we ordered, the potstickers were the best and we ordered a second round.Food: 4/5
Funny to find a tiki car in a desert town, but there's apparently quite the market for it! We walked across The Drunk Munk after dinner on Saturday and the place was packed. We came back the next day to shop and ended up stopping in for sushi and drinks on the patio, it was a perfect afternoon. I enjoyed a pina colada before sushi roll. The patio is a great spot to people watch in the shopping and dining center. Our server was training a new-hire and seemed very rushed through the duration of our lunch. There was something odd going on with the bar I think, because our server needed to know our drink order quickly so she could get them in at the bar. Other than a sense of urgency when ordering both drinks and food, everything was great. Flavors were exactly what I was looking for- a refreshing cocktail followed by delicious sushi. It's impressive to have good sushi in the dessert, there's no water nearby!
We went there in the middle of the day for a drink before our lunch reservations. The place was so chill and we loved that they had misters all over outside. The drink tasted great and even though we had four people drinking out of it, we all felt a little tipsy when we left. Overall we had a fun experience here!Food: 5/5
Great service and drinks! Excellent spot for people watching in the neighborhood too. Drinks were super fun and creative. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!!Food: 5/5
The server was very rude and extremely unwelcoming. First sat us at a clean table and for no reason at all moved my party of 5 to a really dirty table. She then gave us attitude when we asked her if we can have it cleaned. She left the table soaking wet and gave us more attitude when we asked if it can be dried as well. While we were asking questions about the menu, she rudely interrupted us and said she had “other things to do” and said would be back to take our order. She came back about 5 minutes later & we ordered a drink on the menu and she said “We don’t have that drink…” So, my and I asked what drinks WERE available and she replied sarcastically saying “Everything that’s on the menu expect the one you just ordered.” We ended up just ordering a different drink & we showed her our IDs. I showed the server my Arizona Mobile ID and she walked away. She walked straight to her manager and came back and argued that she couldn’t accept my ID. I politely explained that I had JUST lost my physical id out of state last week and still have not received the new one in mail. She called over her manager and he immediately started off passive aggressive. He started off arguing that they are not allowed to accept the Mobile ID because it’s “against the law.” I know that’s not true because I attended a Public Safety Plan Training class, for the city of Scottsdale, led and taught by 2 police officers and they clearly stated that bars and restaurants in Scottsdale can accept the Mobile ID. After mentioning this to him he went from passive aggressive to angry and then proceeded to YELL at us in front of another table and then told us sarcastically to “Have a good day”, kicking us out. Overall, the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Also, I’d like to mention this was my birthday dinner as well. If they would’ve told us, “Unfortunately, this specific restaurant does not accept Mobile IDs we are sorry for the inconvenience.” or anything showing ANY type of consideration, the whole situation would’ve gone differently but the managers approach was terrible. I really wish I got the name of the buff woman server wearing the jean shorts and weird muscle shirt crop top and the aggressive tall male manager. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Came here with a friend during happy hour when I was visiting Phoenix. Really cool, chill spot with a great atmosphere. Sarah was our server and she was so sweet. She was attentive and gave some recommendations on food. Also the drinks are amazing!! Can't wait to visit again!Food: 5/5
Happy hour was great! Half price drinks! Loved the atmosphere! I'd suggest rum based drinks since it's a tiki bar. My girlfriend had the hula, a tequila based drink, and she didn't care much for it. My cocktail was quite tasty. Definitely a fun spot to stop in for a cocktail.
