This was my very first time at the Dutch Pot Jamaican restaurant company, on recommendation from a friend. There was a bit of a line as I entered the restaurant but for me that wasn't a turnoff. I noticed an employee on the outside of the store assisting the drive through customers. Good sign. When I entered the store I asked an employee if there were any menus. She didn't show me where to get one. She went and got one for me. Another good sign. When I finally got to the counter I received a warm welcome to the store. A great sign. My order came quickly and correctly and though the cost was a little more than I was used to, it didn't seem to matter. The service was great, the staff was attentive and overall it was a positive experience. PS. The food was good too.

The food is good. The problems are as follows: 1. Sometimes the servers get really stingy with the meat. You don't always get what you pay for. 2. Guests have to yell orders over other people placing their orders. 3. Manager is very inconsiderate if you complain about value for your buck! Instead of honoring customer is always right, the manager would instead count how many pieces of meat is in your plate. "Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion" 4. Natural juices are way overpriced $3.50 for a small bottle of coconut water. Ridiculous!

Very friendly customer service. The rice porridge was very delicious and done just right. The liver was not overcooked and not too spicy (I hate spicy food). I will definitely come again the next time I'm in Ft. Lauderdale.

lines too long inside and outside. Go inside couldn't hear what the lady was saying to me. put my order in the lady didn't even tell me my order was ready.I had to as the 2 women standing by the check out was that my order. Cashier was talking so much she dropped my money wasn't paying any attention to what she was doing it was just a terrible experience. Got in the car tasting my cow foot and peas they were real salty. Tasted the oxtails and the vegetables the oxtails tasted burnt it wasn't a very good experience today maybe they was just rushing today because I have had a better experience there. Pray they get their self together

Be prepared to wait a while when you visit on Sundays after 2pm. The drive thru moves much faster than the lobby. Good size portions, had the brown stew chicken and it wasn't spicy- which is good
