About

We are a family owned & operated soft pretzel factory.

Story

The owners: Matthew, Michael, and Lauren Bentz.

We love pretzels and we love people.

When confronted with a relocation to the Finger Lakes area due to their parents accepting a job transfer they thought what's in it for US?

Being from Pennsylvania and having traveled to the Finger Lakes on numerous occasions prior to moving, all three had noticed there were no Philly Style or Soft Pretzel Bakeries.

Lauren, Mike, and Matt had an idea and they decided to approach their father and stepmother it. Why not open a Pretzel Factory? When confronted with such a great idea they wholly embraced it and from that point on the concept and now the reality of the Finger Lakes Pretzel Factory was born.

Matt and Mike have always been fascinated with the concept of 6 degrees of separation. After explaining the concept to their younger sister Lauren (aged 12) she said why can't we meet 1 Million people potentially changing the separation gap by 1%. Matt and Mike explained that may be impossible as she may not be aware how many people 1 million actually is. So they all agreed they would try to meet 1 million people but over a 10 year period and the pretzel factory was the perfect place to do it.

They call this initiative "1 Million Pretzel Peeps"

So please stop In and ask for Matt, Mike or Lauren then indicate on Facebook you met the owners and are now a full fledged Pretzel Peep!

Desserts were past their prime at the end of the day and I found the pizza pretzel was just kind of weird.

The customer service was poor and very very slow. The pretzels were just weird, they were undercooked. The pizza pretzel was a lump of dough with canned sauce and too much oregano. Positive note:. Plenty of cheese on the pizza pretzel. All the other flavors we ordered really lacked flavor. Very disappointed in the whole thing. Atmosphere was dingy and dirty. Really looking forward to it.... What a let down.

Stopped here on Friday Oct 14th on our way back to Buffalo after a Google search. The guy that appeared to be the manager was a monster and had no place being in charge of anyone, especially kids that were so obviously terrified of him. The poor kids looked down, didn't make eye contact and did their best to avoid him. It was so uncomfortable waiting for our pretzels and watching him yell at a girl and berate her in front of the waiting customers, in a kitchen open to the counter and seating. I really hope he isn't one of the owners. Pretzel was good, but not good enough to witness that again. Those kids need to get a different job and that guy needs to get fired.

First time here. Customer service was lacking. When we walked in the young girl didn't even acknowledge our presence. She said hi after my hello. I'm willing to chalk that up to inexperience on her part. The pretzels were excellent. Way better than the national chains. The offer sandwiches and soup too, but we didn't try them. For beverages they have home made sodas and coffee. Will definitely have to return for another taste.
