The Firkin Tavern is hands-down one of the coolest spots in town, especially on nights when my band, Izy Kactus, hits the stage. It’s like this hidden gem that just explodes with energy and good vibes every time we play. The place packs out, creating this electric atmosphere that’s hard to find anywhere else.  What sets The Firkin Tavern apart isn’t just the crowds, though. The bartenders are legends—quick with a drink, always smiling, and somehow make you feel like you’re the only person they’re serving, even when the place is bursting at the seams. It's the kind of service that makes a night unforgettable.  But it's more than just a bar; it's a community hub. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from; the moment you step through those doors, you're part of the Firkin family. It’s got this great neighborhood vibe that’s welcoming to everyone, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out or to catch some live music.  Whether you're there for the tunes, the drinks, or the company, The Firkin Tavern delivers. It’s become our go-to spot not just for gigs but for any night we want to guarantee a good time. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of the best experiences the city has to offer.

I went to this bar and almost lost more than my mirror as I was getting out I saw in my mirror the headlights of a vehicle coming towards my truck, I closed my door and the guy hit my truck and destroyed my door and the mirror into 4 pieces and some small stuff, I chased down the truck and they were caught at a light, I asked him to pull over to exchange info and he just takes off and oh well this is what Portland has turned into.    This has nothing to do with the ern it has been a decent little spot and finally a person who would talk and it was a nice time.

Super fun and friendly place. Nice wait staff. Reasonable prices. A great neighborhood option. We came out for Sunday night Karaoke and weren't disappointed.

This place is lovely, they make really good food and drinks. Very reasonable prices especially in Portland. And the staff is amazing. But the atmosphere of the bar is not so great. They're doing some remodeling so I'm excited to see how it turns out.  Vegetarian options: You can get fries  Parking: On 11th, not the easiest place to find street parking. But you&#39;re going to a bar so ‍

If you like a real dive bar atmosphere,  this is a good spot. The back patio is chill and there's free pool, they also have good pizzaFood: 4/5

Cool place... Good vibe with fun cool people from early twenties to mid fifties, awesomely friendly and helpful staff. I saw three bands perform, and it was excellent. But if there's live music, be sure to bring your own ear plugs to protect your ears. The bar doesn't have any to sell or offer.

Travelled to Portland and found this dope place. Live music. Chill people. Great service.

This used to be a fun neighborhood bar. My last couple of visits it's changed and it doesn't feel like a good vibe anymore. Service: 4/5
