The Fishin' Shedd is located on Indiana State Road 446, southeast of Bloomington, Indiana and less than a mile from the Lake Monroe Causeway. Directly across the street from the Visitor's Center and the entrance to Paynetown State Recreation Area, the "Shedd" is in close proximity to Lake Monroe Boat Rental, Lake Monroe Boat Storage, Outback Marine, and three of Monroe Reservoir's nine launching ramps.
