Story

The Floral Cottage Florist was established in 1999 by Becky Hofmann. With over 30 plus years of experience, Becky has become a confident, creative and stylish floral designer. She stays on top of the latest wedding floral trends while also creating classic designs. Randee, Becky's daughter, joined the team in 2014 after becoming a new mother. With the combination of Becky's many years of experience and Randee's youthful outlook on today's brides, we know you will be pleased with our floral wedding designs. Trust us, weddings are our specialty!

My fiance recently took her bridal portraits at Houmas House, a few towns over from Floral Cottage Florist. I called at 11am the day of and needed a large bouquet delivered by 4pm. It is rare the a florist would be willing to deliver in such a short timeline and even more rare that the quality would be second to none. I didn't even have to ask if it was possible for her to make the delivery. She went on with the order without batting an eye. 

I am by no means a flower expert and don't know the names, types, and colors much beyond a red rose. I asked the woman at Floral Cottage Florist to design a basket to match my fiance's bridal colors: light purples, pinks, and whites. She asked for a price, I named it, and we completed the deal. Simple as that.

My fiance, ever-forgetful as she is, didn't bring her bouquet to the pictures so was stressing big time when she showed up at Houmas House. When she arrived though, the staff presented her with the Floral Cottage bouquet and it was perfect. The colors were spot on and there were intricate designs in the handle of the basket and the flowers were gorgeous. They used it in every photograph!

I am so overwhelmingly impressed with the folks at the Floral Cottage. I wish they would move to DC!
