Story

We are a full-service laundry wash-and-fold and dry cleaning startup in Austin, Texas working to inspire freedom because, ultimately, life is about having a good time doing what you love – not laundry.

We dreamt up The Folde with a simple vision: create a service we would be excited to use if it existed. One that was built for life-livers looking to maximize their little chunks of remaining free time, somewhere between daydreaming and deadlines. An all-inclusive laundry service that at the click of a button could handle the abuse we put our clothes through on a daily basis. A service that gave us more time to keep getting clothes dirty, realizing nobody should miss out on life because of unwashed underwear.

Laundry is annoying enough; our mission is to be the opposite.

Mission

We believe missing out on happy hour, the last innings of a big game, or the fish when they’re biting should never be part of anyone’s day. Because, ultimately, life is about having a good time doing what you love – not laundry.

We are three college friends connected by shared callings: outdoor adventures, spicy tacos, bone-rattling live music, and all of the little things that go with these callings - good stories, better salsa, and whiskey over ice. But this isn’t about us and it isn’t about our craft; it’s about our realization that happiness is a function of free time – our single most valuable resource.

It’s irreplaceable. And in a hellbent fury to find more of it, we dreamt up The Folde with a simple vision: create a service we would be excited to use if it existed. My life has been changed by this company. I am blown away by the speed, quality, and care of the service and the kindness and amazing attitudes of every person I have interacted with. 
The turnaround time was unreal. The clothes were folded PERFECTLY. They even hung and steamed delicate items. Guys, they folded my underwear. 

I will say, my overall rating is closer to a 4.8. The ONE negative I have is that their bag sizes and "average loads" that fit in them is a little off. I would say that the large bag fits, realistically, 3-4 loads, instead of the 5+ advertised. Unless I have just been doing extremely large loads my entire life...

Regardless, I will continue to use the service and have recommended it to several people already. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the service I experienced. The dry cleaning services are also BEYOND reasonable, as they're in line with your average drop off service except for the fact that they BRING IT TO YOUUUUU which just makes this place more amazing. 

10/10 would laundry again. I love this biz so much.

This is the best thing ever. I easily scheduled the pick up online (pick almost any 2-hour window the first time) -- other times you can just leave the company-provided laundry bag in front of your house if you like. Within 24 hours they texted me saying my order was ready.... I logged in and scheduled my delivery time. Super easy, very very reasonably priced and the pick-up and drop-off were totally on time. The price is per bag and the bag was super huge -- fits all of my laundry for the week.

I've tried a number of the area laundering services and The Folde has outdone them all. I love every last one of their notifications...they come and pick up the laundry during the scheduled time, I know to expect my laundry back during the scheduled return time. The folding is damn near impeccable. The service is by far the most consistent and anytime I've had a question they are their to answer. I would absolutely recommend them.
UPDATED: They just called me to ask if they could bring it in earlier than our normal schedule because of some conflicts. They are on target with the communication. I didn't realize how much it would impact my feelings about a vendor, but it does. Thank you, The Folde, for your hard work and constant communication with your customers.

I literally love everything about the folde. They have the nicest people and I never thought a laundry service could feel so personal. The come and pick up your dirty clothes, wash them to your specifications, spot treat any stains, fold everything that you want folded and hang everything you want hung. They even fold underwear and MATCH YOUR SOCKS(!!). They take the time to separate my boyfriends clothes from my clothes and then deliver it back so quickly. You even can send things to be dry cleaned if you want. They try to accommodate any requests you have and don't care how full you stuff the bags. The saddest part about me leaving Austin is going to be me leaving the Folde. I recommend it to everyone 10000000% I can't gush enough about how amazing this service is.

Letting The Folde take care of my laundry has been the biggest game changer. All I have to do is schedule a pick-up and off my laundry goes! Twenty-four hours later, it came back fresh and folded. Prices are great, and the company gives off a really good vibe. Makes it easy to trust them with your precious clothes! Best laundry service company in Austin!
