The freezer was actually a real bait freezer turned into a bar. The Seminole Indians bulit a tiki hut on the back which over looks otter creek. This is a working fish house to this day. Watch the fishermen unload the seafood you eat.

I'm from Arizona, so seafood there is not what you would like.  This place The Freezer is amazing.  The shrimp here was the best I have ever had. I also had the clam chowder bread bowl, was amazing as well!   I walked out very happy.  We actually went 40 minutes out of our way to eat here.  I Would have gave 5 stars if the waitress at the order booth was in a better mood and gave me the impression that she was annoyed that I showed up. I understand a bad day but she was rude to me for no reason.

This is a must visit place. Fresh seafood at a great price. The garlic butter shrimp and the clam chowder are awsome. It's still old Florida here, strictly casual. Order at the bar and it's brought to you. No table Service and clean up your own mess, but the drinks are cheap and the food is good. People are friendly and laid back.

The Freezer began as a dive situation, which was based on peel-and-eat shrimp in a comfortable, literal former freezer, setting. While the food is still good, it seems that this place's "moment" might be over. It is typically overrun with people, the seating situation is merciless, and it's overall a stressful time. Coming here is certainly pleasant, but you have to time it just yet - and it's a very small window between comfortable and chaos. Try and snag a seat outside, "away from it all," and enjoy your shrimp, a pretzel, and a cup of clam chowder.

Wonderful steamed shrimp (regular or garlic) and other menu items available. Cold beer. Friendly but harried staff. Located right on a small marina, it's usually a quiet location. Wednesday steak night is very popular, though I was not impressed. Ownership takes a pretty lackadaisical approach to maintenance (one large table inside is usually unusable because of condensation from an air conditioning conduit, doorknob in at least one bathroom doesn't work well from the inside). Plenty of seating, but it's a very popular place and can get very crowded.

I love this place.   The seafood there is always freshly caught and is prepared when ordered.   I love the smoked mullet sip there.   The shrimp and crab is amazing and the portions you get for the price is a lot.   I will definitely be going back.
