I have been eating here on a daily basis… This place is a hole in the wall gem. The owner / chef doesn’t mess around and only uses the freshest ingredient turned into stellar dishes with flavorful complexity that surprises and delights day after day. Our favorite spot in the area! Clean, flavorful, wonderful food that can’t be beat. I’ve had probably 5 or 6 different soup specials something different every time and they have all been some of the best soups I’ve ever had. The flavors are all incredibly balanced, the atmosphere is amazing, and you can feel the warmth and passion behind the whole place.
I'm from out of state and found this tiny little breakfast/lunch place that makes healthy food fun and delicious. Everything was SO FRESH, we literally watched the owner walk outside to pick fresh herbs from the garden and bring them in to use in the food. The atmosphere was just awesome, it is very small and intimate. The plant decorations, music and little library were great touches, and of course the owner was very friendly and helpful. I could not have been more pleased to stumble upon this little oasis. I will be back next time I'm in town!
Great small restaurant for breakfast and lunch. My daughters were very skeptical but after the food were on their table they are open to coming gab k again. It’s like having personal chef for you. The owner was very helpful. Price are great …5 star for sure…
If it wasnt for the reviews we wouldn’t have stopped here. The outside doesn’t look appealing however the inside is super cute! Amazing food, great people, staff is nice, the cook is very friendly, environment was very chill and relaxing! Good vibes all around. I got the tuna avocado wrap with a raspberry dipping sauce, Coconut broccoli curry soup, and applewood turkey melt. Amazing!!! They serve there meals with a side of fruits instead of Chips or fries which was awesome!!! Delicious and healthier option! Will be back soon!!
Outstanding service with helpful tips. Very nice and quaint atmosphere. Presentation and taste of the food is excellent. Do not underestimate this small restaurant because it will surprise you! The photo is of the Black Forest ham sandwich and the poke bowl.
Amazing. Fresh. Beautiful. Kind. Polite... And so much more! Just all around a genuinely wonderful experience. The office that I work at attempted to order at chain smoothie/wrap place in town and was told that our order was too large for the two people that were staffed there. The universe had other plans and redirected us to The Garden. I was utterly impressed. Not only did they happily take the order it was beautifully made to prefection. When I arrived to pick up our order I was delighted by the atmosphere. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and very welcoming. To my surprise there was only 1 person there working on our large order and tending to other patrons. I was please to meet Derrik, the owner, who was busy finishing up our order. He was very polite and eagerly answered any question that I had. Then there's the food... Wow! Not only was it appealing to the eye it was all so very delicious! I personally had The Garden wrap, Southwest toast with a Acai Blueberry smoothie and a Pineapple Orange Ginger parfait to snack on for my afternoon snack . Normally, this might be too much for someone but I am nursing and am a black hole at the moment. The portions were great. The flavor combinations were plain Devine. The wrap had a nice kick to it making it a treat to eat. My toast was toasted to perfection multi-grain and the combination of toppings were paired so well together. The smoothie was perfect ineveryday. As I write this review I am snacking on the parfait with fresh pineapple layer with the orange ginger yogurt, that had chunks of refreshing ginger in it!. I am in love. I can not wait to go back to try more. Highly recommend The Garden!
Delicious fresh and healthy food. We enjoyed the turkey wrap and cranapple salad with herbal teas. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options here. Parking: Plenty of parking as they share space with the kickboxing gym. Dietary restrictions: Very healthy options for vegetarian and vegan here.
What a great spot to grab breakfast/lunch, but also what a great addition to the healthy options that DeLand offers. The menu items are reasonably priced and executed perfectly. The couple that runs the place are very friendly, hard-working and know how to make health foods taste good. At first when I looked at the menu online, the ingredients called out to me, but I was doubtful. Would the food taste as good it looks? Oh how wrong I was! Everything I've had so far not only looks good, but smells amazing and tastes wonderful. When you go inside you realize right away what you're in for as the fragrances take hold of you. The menu items are well thought out and none of the herbs and spices exist in a dish that they don't belong in. Take the Berry Toast for example. All of the ingredients are balanced and on the plate for a reason. I'm not the biggest fan of cream cheese, but they tastefully put just the right amout of schmear on the toast. Instead of overpowering the other ingredients, it compliments them. Like the chiffonade basil, just the right amount of earthiness and sweetness of the basil to pair the sweet berries with the hearty toast underneath. Well done! In case the directions on google leaves you wondering "Where exactly is it located?" It is part of the same building that is also the boxing gym. You can see the gym's sign easily by the road and its right in-between the old bowling alley and O'reily's Auto Parts. Both of which may also serve as overflow parking should you come during lunch and can't find parking. You'll be able to see "The Garden" from the road by the name and the plants in front. Come check them out and if you like them, give them the love and support of the community that they deserve!
Found this spot on a whim when I was in town nearby. Tiny place with a surprisingly unique menu. Lots of things I want to come back and try. Everything was 100% fresh and made to order with very friendly and helpful staff. My favorite part was that they actually let you order lunch after 10! As someone who gets up extremely early, I typically want lunch around 10 and it’s nearly impossible to find but this place gets me. Also, the prices were surprisingly cheap. I actually think they could charge more on the food items especially.
