The Ginger Cat is located a short drive from Watkins Glen and several of the finger lakes' most well known wineries. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The whole place is decked out with cat... Every thing. Statues, pictures, plates, you name it. While there are a couple cats that live here, the place is spotless. Breakfast is delicious. Its a vegan establishment so no animal products are used (or even allowed inside). We were served fresh fruit and vegetables (grapes, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, kale, brussel sprouts) an assortment of baked goods (pancakes, scones, muffins, apple crisp), and some vegan imitation food (fritata, vegan bacon, vegan sausage, etc) over the course of three mornings. I personally don't care for the imitation food, but the baked goods are excellent and the fruit and veggies are yummy. She cooked kale with garlic and brussel sprouts with oj the first morning, and I never thought I would love kale for breakfast, but it was great. Serving sizes are large, and there's plenty to go around. She has an assortment of tea, along with coffee and juice. There is WiFi, and several outlets if you need to charge your devices. No TV's in the rooms, but it's a B&B after all. There's a mini fridge in the kitchen that you can put your *vegan* perishables in overnight. This is a little unfortunate if you're looking to buy some of the local cheese or meats. I am not a vegan, or even a vegetarian, but I did enjoy my stay and the breakfasts provided.

What a great place to stay near Watkins Glen. We stayed there one night after a race and were pleasantly surprised at how cozy the place was. Gita was a wonderful host and the place was very clean and well kept. She gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. We chatted for a while about the cats and the humane society and had plenty of time to relax. We went for a stroll on the grounds and listened to the frogs and birds chirping, very peaceful and serene. For Breakfast she made us vegan breakfast burritos that were tasty. Highly recommended!
