Chef Theodore Kappas embraces the “farm to table” approach with locally sourced farm fresh meats and vegetables as well as the finest imported traditional ingredients that define Greek cuisine.

Chef Theodore KappasChef Theodore Kappas has cultivated his passion for good eats and gained culinary experience while working in restaurants in the United States. In the early years he has run the gamut of sous chef at a diner and has later served as head chef for highly praised local restaurants. He may be recognized from various appearances on local TV channels or from serving up dishes at local food shows. While he has excelled in continental cuisine—where in many occasions he has had the opportunity to create Greek inspired dishes—his desire has always been to work exclusively with Greek food. That desire not only to create but share his experiences was fulfilled when the cozy retail space on main street Metuchen became available. Simple and manageable yet elegant, in the heart of a developing city this space was perfect for his vision. Small enough to be cozy, big enough to be comfortable and simple enough as not to interfere with your dining experience The Greek on Main want you to dive into the blue waters of Mediterranean flavor and wake up your senses to indulge on our sun bathed creations.
