The same exact experience of the previous reviewer happened to me. I was disappointed with the performance of the portfolio, had some suggestions as to the direction, and they sent me a sarcastic email saying they are discontinuing our relationship, after years of investing with them. It was a blessing, my portfolio has done incredible with a Merrill investment firm.

I was with this CFP firm for many years.  When things got crazy with Covid and the markets plummeted I began asking lots of questions.  At that time I mentioned to them that I was thinking of making a change to another company, who had a different philosophy about money management. However, I informed them that I was still willing to talk about my concerns and issues with them.  Instead of acting professionally, as I had been with them by putting all my cards on the table, they sent me an email stating they were resigning from being my financial advisor.  In my opinion this was a childish action on their part.  Fire me, before I left them.  As they say, things happen for a reason and  as one door closes another opens.  I am so happy I am no longer with them, although it's partially due to their own making.  My new advisor has a much different philosophy.  It is fresh and a new way of thinking, for the new world we live in. Not antiquited and having a one size fits all pot, in my opinion. I'm an individual with them.  Tax liability is managed for me and it's in our control, not some money market manager. I am treated professionally.  Instead of being criticized for asking too many questions.  The pettiness I experienced is the thing that hurt the most. Very unprofessional.
