This is, by far, the best Home Depot in the area. Vastly different experience than the Union Stores. My son has been working on a project and has been in there several times in the last few weeks. People have remembered his name, have helped him find materials and even load the car for us. The cashier even wished him luck on his project; what a nice group of people!

Went in to copy a file cabinet key for my company. After waiting 15 minuets for someone to come to the key section the guy took my key and told me it wouldn’t work because they don’t have a core, I replied I don’t know what that means? He responded by talking in Spanish and yelled it wouldn’t work work! and then asked what will I be doing with a copy of this key? To which I replied it’s for my company file cabinet, to which he made a sarcastic sign, handed my key back and walked away talking to a close by employee in Spanish who looked at me and laughed. I don’t think I ever walked out of a store so confused on why they didn’t want my money. For giggles I stoped by my local Home Depot who had me in and out with a copy in 5 minuets. I think someone should remind that employee if he’s so miserable maybe he should re think his career choices. Needless to say the company I represent and myself will no longer be shopping in this location.

Home Depot in Garwood is a great store to shop in the pickup tools and do it yourself items. The friendly staff is always there to help you and the store is normally stocked with all the general items that you might require.

While most Home Depots are great the Garwood NJ location has by far the MOST horrible customer service of any location i have ever been to!!! I was looking for a 14" metal cutting blade for my demo saw, i looked for about 10min after not finding it i searched HD website & it said 6 in stock isle 94, i walked around looking for isle 94 couldnt find it, found a employee they told me it was in the back of store, i couldnt find it, saw the employee again she walked with me & she couldn't find it, i went to front of store, customer service person could they call someone & she did, 10-15 min later im still waiting, i asked her to call again & she did another 10min still no help, she offered to help but didnt know where isle 94 was, at this point i realized id been in the store for almost 45min & was really pissed, i ended up calling the store while i was still in it asking for a manager, after getting the run around over the phone i asked for district managers# & corporate # ...ONLY then did i get a manager on the phone & he actually came out to help me but with somewhat of an attitude. If i really didnt need the part immediately i would have left & not gave them my business about 1hr total time to get 1 thing!! I think what bothered me most was the fact that the store was not busy 2 cashiers was talking to each other because they had no one in line most of my wait, i could only find 2 ppl working the floor & neither knew where isle 94 was!! Upon checking out the check out lady was nice & apologized for my wait

Always very helpful & pleasant at my Garwood Home Depot. Give very good advice on what product is best for any project I am doing🏡👍
