NEVER buy a refrigerator from Home Depot! They claim to offer delivery, but that is a joke! I ordered 3 refrigerators from Home Depot as part of an energy efficiency program supported by our electrical supplier. The first one was for a woman who is age 70+. In scheduling the delivery, they told her that she would need to unload it herself. Because of this, she called her son & daughter-in-law to help her. When the delivery drivers arrived, they did nothing to help them unload it, even though they were supposed to provide some portion of the service, just not all of the steps. The drivers sat in the truck and watched them unload it themselves and they wouldn't let them use the dolly or any straps! Awful. For the other refrigerator, they would not deliver it to Ophir so the participant had to pick it up. I am a participant in the program so one of the refrigerators was for me. One Monday morning, they called me in the morning at 8AM to tell me they were on their way with my refrigerator. NO advanced notice was provided. I scrambled to make it work. I unloaded all of my current frig into bags and coolers, etc. When they arrived they said they were only contracted to bring the refrigerator up 22 stairs and I have 27 so i would have to figure out a way to get it up the last 5. I was shocked, but my friend was there and he said he would help me. They wouldn't let us use the dolly, so we wrestled it up the last stairs. When we got it into my condo, the delivery guy said "Huh, this refrigerator is much smaller than the one you have". At that point he realized he had delivered the WRONG refrigerator to me! I guess they are allowed to take refrigerators DOWN stairs, though. In that process they got a ding in my door frame and a dent in the refrigerator that belonged to someone else in the program! After that incident, I spoke to a very nice, helpful person in their expediting department about the terrible service we all received. I was assured that they would deliver my refrigerator to me when it came in. Last week, they called me to let me know my refrigerator was in! The delivery person asked about my stairs and he said they WON'T deliver it up the stairs! I complained and the assistant manager spoke to me and told me he couldn't help me. I have left multiple messages with the person who said it would be delivered, but no one has called me back. Home Depot delivery is a joke! How can they say they provide delivery with the crap service that we all received?! I still have not gotten my refrigerator and it was ordered 3 months ago. Again, NEVER order a refrigerator from Home Depot!

It was surprisingly good they pointed me to where I needed to go an helped me find what I was looking for

There are about 3 people at any time that are knowledgeable and willing to help. The rest of the employees work really hard at avoiding customers to prevent having to help. My wife and I will split up in an attempt to corner an employee. When they turn from me because I look as if I might need assistance, she starts coming up the aisle the other direction. At this point, they have nowhere to go and are forced to talk to one of us. It is a typical big box stores as far as inventory and pricing. I would much rather shop at one of the locally owned hardware stores.
