Must see for art enthusiasts or people who love art and culture. The permanent collection is stunning. The Hyde has works by Rubens, Picasso, Renior, Ingres, and Botticelli among other famous works. The other galleries feature impressive works.for a limited time.

It is one of my favorite museums. I wish they'd kept the kitchen intact though. Or maybe put the kitchen back. I also wish they had access to some of the other spaces that are closed off. But it's not just the museum it was somebody's house you go in there and you're walking into a place that is is as it was when they lived there. I mean I think they might change some things around but it's like going into somebody's house, somebody very wealthy who had beautiful taste in artwork and a lot of money to buy a lot of it. I wish they'd open the other bathrooms. And the garden area is beautiful and has a nice lovely sculpture of a family dancing. I thought they were going to make the garden bigger but I must have misunderstood. But it is a lovely little garden with a lovely fountain that the volunteers have worked very hard to make beautiful.

A real gem ! Surprised at the quality and scope of the traditional wing ! We came for a 30 minutes look and stayed an hour. New modern art exhibition was not for me. I we don't enjoy modern art.

A cultural Mecca in a backwater boondock. (Actually there are many other excellent cultural destinations and organizations in the area). The Hyde is the pinnacle of arts in the Glens Falls area.

The Hyde is evolving from a house museum full of one wealthy family's art collection, to a vibrant gem in upstate NY. The recent contemporary art donation has added a new layer to an already wonderful museum. New programs, & traveling exhibits means different things to experience each time you visit.
