The Hyde Collection is a historic house and art museum complex.
The Hyde Collection combines the intimacy of an historic house with the sophistication of a larger art museum complex. Four galleries offer a changing schedule of world-class exhibitions.
The Museum's founders, Louis and Charlotte Hyde, amassed a permanent collection consisting of approximately 4,000 items ranging from works on paper, sculpture, furniture, and tapestries to Old Master paintings (Botticelli, Rembrandt and Rubens), important American artists (Eakins, Hassam, Homer, Vedder and Whistler) and Modern and Contemporary works (Kelly, Warhol, Albers, and more).
Visitor information: Open Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm; Sunday 12 noon – 5 pm. Closed Monday and most national holidays. General admission is charged; free for members. For more information call 518-792-1761 or go to www.hydecollection.org.
