The worst school in America, Don't go here I WARN YOU. It's a big money scem. the name is GREAT it'll get you in the door. The classes are pointless you sit in there & you watch a movie & talk about it. i felt like i was in high school all over. i owe them over $18,000 for only 2 years not even. Don't go here save your money. there's other schools PS you won't get your transcript ever until you pay them. they have a lot of people's transcripts in there office.

Ai sets you up for a fast track to failure. Programs are out dated, teachers don't teach, financial aid department doesn't do their job or reply to phone calls or emails, registration places you in classes just to fill them, credits aren't transferable to other schools, it's way over priced for the quality of education you receive. PLUS THEY JUST GOT "BOUGHT" BY A NONPROFIT JUST TO AVOID BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR TUITION FORGIVENESS. Plus if you look at the reviews on here and other pages they obviously had asked people to give good reviews there are a few around the same date in January that give them good reviews, probably because less and less people are signing up for their crappy school.

If I could rate this school at 0 stars, I would. This school, and all Art Institute schools, as well as other EDMC schools (Argosy, Brown Mackie, South University) are a for-profit SCAM. They have been sued for 11 billion dollars by the federal government for FRAUD. I attended from 2007-2010 and it was the biggest waste of time and money. I was promised a high quality education, but instead received shoddy instruction (if the teachers bothered showing up at all). We watched a LOT of movies in class, sometimes even bootleg videos. We learned from tutorials off of the internet that we could have found for free and learned from on our own without paying thousands of dollars. We had no access to the resources and lighting studios that we needed, even if the classes we were enrolled in were supposed to be studio focused. I was misled about the validity of the accreditation, and when I realized what a joke my education was, I couldn't even transfer out because "National" accreditation doesn't mean anything. REGIONAL is what you want. Way to mislead students, EDMC. This school cares about nothing but money. They will smile through their teeth while enrolling you and then leave you high and dry once you are sitting in your classes. The school has already lost most of its leased space and is operating on 2 and a half floors at this point. They are clearly downsizing and going out of business. EDMC delisted their stock and it sits at under 10 cents, yet they are continuing to enroll students even though all signs point to them going out of business before any of the students will graduate. It is unconscionable and incredibly wrong. Please do a google search for the news related to the Art Institutes, EDMC, and for-profit colleges in general. It is a much better alternative to seek an education from a community school or a non-profit institution. Illinois Institute of Art did nothing but leave me 100k in debt for a worthless degree. *if anyone is interested, join a bunch of students fighting back at the "I am Ai" facebook group. Also, they are on notice from the higher learning commission (the accreditor), so you should also file complaints with them via their website

The teachers at the school are good, but the ones who run the school do poorly at their job. There is a lack of communication among the workers at the school and they lie to you about what you actually owe. The word does not stay true. At this point they accept anyone, because they are in desperate need to keep the school running. Ceasar Salas was the first financial officer to introduce me to the different finances of the school and when I started receiving unknown bills from places that I was unaware of, I tried to give him a call to ask questions. He can't be that busy to the point that he can't return my calls after I've left countless messages. I am just upset with the way the school is run and there needs to be a change. All the teachers do their jobs efficiently, but the workers upfront need a lot of work to do.
