Everything was fantastic! Patty and Shannon treated us like old friends from the moment we arrived, even giving each of us a free drink and a bag of chips when we checked in. The cabin was very comfortable with a PILE of soft blankets, and the place heated up pretty quickly. The night was dark and quiet, something we haven’t had since moving to the city. We had brought food, but we ended up eating at the Saloon for every meal anyway because everything was so delicious. They had a fire going each night, and there were easily hundreds of $1 bills, each with names, dates, messages, or just “Thanks!” written on the front, stapled to walls, support columns, and beams left by previous happy patrons. There’s usually a live band that plays every Saturday, and while no one had been booked for the weekend that we were there, the dance floor was still open and the music was lively. After leaving, we realized that we’d left my husband’s Fitbit, and Stuart went out to look for it as soon as we called. He’s even going to meet us in town to get it back instead of making us drive all the way back to the Saloon. That’s a good thing, because if we go back, we might not be able to leave again!

Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere, and are still serving food after 10pm.  Great Saturday night crowd for the live music, and the fact that they rent out cabins year-round is a really nice bonus.  It may be out of the way, but it’a worth the drive!

A wonderful off-the-grid experience. It's a well-rounded place for nightlife on weekend nights, and a kick-back atmosphere on the rest. It offers small cabin rentals (note: very small; perfect if you end up drinking and need a place to stay) and will even let you park your camper there for a small fee. The Jack hosted a diesel drags event this past summer and it was a hit. I would recommend keeping yourself in the loop with other activities since this is a perfect place for a variety of reasons.

Great local location. Located up a side road up the side of the mountain in a log cabin style bar. Great food. Great people. Enjoy the ambiance. Nice spot after a hike or ski up the mountain to catch a brew.
