john j martin has not returned a 5k retainer fee after he said he would the day he quit, right before court. also has possession of importin legal papers for the case. he has been avoiding phone calls for weeks. this lawyer will be reported to multiple agency's including disciplinary board of the supreme court pa. we will update if he ever makes this right. its nothing short of theft

John Martin charged me a small fraction of what a large law firm wanted to settle my case. It was an easy win so I did not want to waste time and money on an attorney litigating things that do not matter, which is what they often do to rack up fees. He's a bit of a bull in a china shop as far as manners are concerned, and did not impress me with his work, either. So he may not be right for you if you want someone with good communication skills to keep you informed throughout the process and pay for that, too, as time is money, or if you want a strong litigator for your case in which case good luck finding an attorney who will actually do that and be very prepared to shell out a lot of money for it. But if you want someone to simply get the job done then I'd say he's your go to.  My best advice, and this applies to any attorney that I have ever used, is not to allow your emotions to influence your judgement when deciding what it is you wish to fight for in any legal matter. You feel that you want justice because you were wronged. But your best bet is the most quick settlement even though it will not include everything that you are entitled to receive. Then let it go and move on with your life. Otherwise, the reality is that you will end up wasting a ton of time and energy on the matter and lots of money on an attorney to fight to get everything you are entitled to justice and in the end you won't get everything anyway. Also, never believe everything an attorney tells you... they will "court you" saying whatever it takes to get you to hire them. Expect that they then will not do all that they say they will do, it will take longer to settle the matter than they tell you, you won't get as much money or whatever it is you are seeking as they say you will, and most of all never believe the price that they quote you.

Great and very affordable lawyer.  Highly recommended.  I wouldn't plan on hiring anyone else. I went to 3 different law offices before I settled on John Martin.  He's straight forward and doesn't beat around the bush. Never thought I'd be able to afford a lawyer on my own.  I live paycheck to paycheck, he's definitely worth a lot more than he charges.

I know someone who had this lawyer but his son john martin ii, he didnt want even fight for this person that i know through a friend. Thats why my friend looked for other lawyers to appeal his whole case. He just wanted only read what he wants to. Doesnt stand up for when it is time to present the facts that you have. He is just trying to be mommy and daddy's prefect good angel & to be like mommy and daddy.

John Martin is a very knowledgeable professional who goes the extra mile all the time.  My telephone calls were answered and emails were always replied to promptly.  He’s very aggressive in pursuing your end goal but always good and pleasant to work with.

I would like it if a public defender would fight for you as hard as the paid attorney this isn't really saying anything bad in regards to Mr Martin but I do think he can fight for me harder

This guy had my case for 8 months and not once did he go over my case. It was so bad the father had to step in for his son because he wouldn’t review or even take notes on the case. Needless to say it was a spectacle on the day of the hearing. AVOID THIS FIRM!! Try Bugaj and Fischer the are way better!

He talked like  “no problem give me $500 and I’ll take care of it “ Then after a couple phone calls with the organization that I had the issue with he says “ you should just sign the papers and agree to the terms , call me back I have another client “

After being misrepresented by 2 other attorneys.  They have helped my family tremendously!  Great people!  They dont pull any punches.
