A fabulous, comfortable, casual, cozy lodge just a couple hundred feet from the lifts. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable. We loved gearing up in the room, grabbing our skis from the entrance locker, and heading for the lifts. This is a great place for families and hard core skiers alike!!!

Standard hotel with standard amenities for upscale prices, had a nice stay but not worth the money. Hot breakfast was very good, nice selections including sausages, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, but again, I have had very similar ones at a Days Inn too. The three outdoor hut tubs were nice but only filled half way, not sure what that was about, especially at outside temperatures around 0°, it was difficult to be in the water enough to stay warm.

Overall great hotel, it is a family owned hotel and to my knowledge the only one in Big Sky. What this means is the service is exceptional! The family cares about the experience. They have three outdoor hot tub and one indoor and a standard pool. They provided us with smores and a great breakfast, started the day off right. The front desk provided us with a solid recommendation for dinner and was very interested in how we were doing every day. That goes a long way. They had a shuttle service every half and hour till around lunch and picked up at two or so. Will definitely be back soon Great place

Pretty nice stay here...rustically speaking. The room was a good size, nice comfy mattress. Pillows thicker than than l like. A little old school as far as big resort amenaties go. But did enjoy the staff's friendlyness. The fridge in room 108 doesn't have a temp control and freezes everything. The bath's stopper didn't work. A shovel at the entrance to be used by quests, to shovel out their cars, should be offered. And storing your luggage carts just inside the door would be appreciated when it -17° outside. View out the window of Lone Peak.

The location is indeed top notch. You are only a few hundred yards from the start of the base are of Big Sky, so that is awesome. There's a shuttle too, but I didn't use it as I prefer to walk. The hot tubs were also fantastic. There are three of them outside, so its perfect after a great day on the slopes to relax and recover! The view of Lone Mountain is awesome, especially in the morning when you wake up to see not a cloud in the sky :) However, the rest of the stay was disappointing to say the least. We ended up getting a connected room on the first floor, which apparently is not the main floor when you walk in. It felt almost like we were going into the basement when we figured out that we had to go down a floor from the lobby... Once there, the hallway smelt very strongly of gas (likely propane, but the strength is what got me). The rooms were nothing to write home about. Other than the high ceilings, it felt like a dark cavern in there. The bed was extremely uncomfortable/old/springy (our whole group had a pretty rough night of sleep) and what existed for pillows was a laughable excuse. The shower was more of a waterfall and got water everywhere even with a curtain in place. The bathroom itself was not the cleanest one I've seen, especially for a resort hotel, I was surprised it was in the state it was in. The breakfast was good for the fact that it was included, but it's your typical continental breakfast that all the hotels offer (Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, etc.). Edible and appreciated, but again, nothing fancy for a resort at the largest ski area in America. For the price, we were disappointed in the overall experience and expected more.
