You won't find many places this good in a small town this far north, especially on this eastern half of the state. My wife and I have been here a few times now and can't come up with anything they could improve upon. Their cod is fantastic, the burgers are delicious and bun looks and taste homemade,  and the turkey dinner with fresh stuffing and real mashed potatoes - wow.  I wish I could take this lunchbox back to Royal Oak. We have many upscale restaurants,  but few and far between are any really great family-friendly restaurants with excellent simple dishes and a staff that cares. Did I mention that this place is ultra clean and bright too- it is!

There are a few items I will order in a new restaurant to test their capabilities. One is a Philly Cheese Steak. The Lunchbox knows what they are doing. Tasted even better on reheat as leftovers this evening. I highly recommend making the stop if you're in the area. I did have to take a star off for the pie though. I got the peach & it was peaches between crust. The crust was amazing; buttery & flaky just as it should be. However, the peaches were bitter like nothing was added except peaches between crust. You really have to add some sugar as fruit loses sweetness in baking.

This restaurant is awesome.  Home cooked and delicious.  The serving are a really big size.  Pricing is great to especially for all you get.  Place was clean and staff was excellent.

We came for lunch.  The wording on the menu is deceptive. Everything is an upcharge.  Black  and Blue Burger came witb sauteed onions which were not mentioned in the description.  Mushroom  and Swiss Burger had enough grease to lube a semi.  The bottom of the bun was soaked.  Grease ran down my hand.  Oh, I almost forgot....there was a piece of chopped ham on my burger.  So evidently the "world travelled" cook doesn't clean the grill off before starting a new order.  Gross!  I will not go back.!!!!!

We stopped in for breakfast and couldn't be happier.  The place is beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated.  They have a nice menu & our meals were delicious at a great price.  Would highly recommend !!
