My husband and i and our two children ages 5 and 7 visited on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. The patio is great for hanging out, enjoying a drink and even bringing your dog if you choose. The food was excellent. My hubby and I split the chicken and spinach sandwich with sweet potato tots. (Don't order the tots if you aren't into truly SWEET potatoes....but I am, so I thought they were great and coupled with the even sweeter and delicious limoncello martini.) My kids ordered chicken tenders with quite possibly the best ranch ever and tomato bisque. Both were quite good. The kids wanted a kids menu and this place doesn't have one, nor do they have juice or milk for order. We are fine with that but if our waitress is any indicator, they would rather you didn't bring in children. She was professional yet relatively unfriendly. The service was "fine" but not exceptional and that is why I am giving it 4 stars rather than 5. Overall, glad we came!

Amazing whiskey selection and great crafted cocktails! The menu has some delicious options - the meat & cheese tray is YUM and I order it almost every time, but everything I've had is on point! Bonus: they smoke their meat in house, and it is so good!

I really enjoy The Monarch. I have been here both with a large group for a watch party and with a friend for a quiet dinner, both experiences were great! In a large group our server was attentive and checked in periodically, but also gave us or space to watch the debate we were watching. With a friend our server was charming and mindful. When my friend couldn't decide on a beer he offered her tasters, which was very helpful. I haven't tried many menu items, but the tomato soup and apps were great. I was pleased with my mixed drinks as well. I cool place! Can't wait to go back!

I'm not exactly sure when an establishment becomes an "institution," The Monarch is well on its way to joining the ranks! Located at the historic Delano Clock Tower, The Monarch is a must before or after IntrustBank Arena events, Wichita Symphony concerts, Wichita Music Theatre Shows or whatever get together brings you to the heart of Wichita. Wichita's downtown residents and workers will love The Monarch for lunch. Looks like it makes a fun spot for nightlife seekers. My Caesar Chicken salad was perfecto and my colleagues Ruben was equally as good. My advice, get to the Monarch and love your locals!

Great place to sit outside and enjoy the day or night. Very good wait staff. Lots of great varieties of liquor and beers. They grill a lot of their meats outside. Monarch Wings are fantasist and they are not mall so the 5 they serve will be plenty for 2 people. Running Doves Reuben and the Cuban are my favs along with the stuffed Cremini mushroom caps stuffed with cream cheese, smoked burnt end brisket & smoked cheddar cheese.
