Love, love, love this school! All three of our kids attend here now and I could not be happier. Ms Robinson for my two year old is a dream....and has the patience of a saint, I swear :-). The twins have learned so much and are already reading and writing in journals all this while learning mindfulness and teaching mom and dad a thing or two....and they are only five. My daughter was talking about gravity the other day, knows all the countries in Central America and my son is already doing math that I don't think I knew until first grade, Such an amazing place! The Montessori philosophy of child directed learning in a peaceful classroom is doing wonders for all three of our kids. Highly recommended!

The Montessori School is a hidden gem! It provides the best education I know of in the Philadelphia suburbs, and it's a bargain (for a private school) to boot! The school offers a very pure Montessori curriculum (not a watered-down pre-school version) in a caring atmosphere. Academics are rigorous, but taught in a way that engages students so that they own their own learning, which lets them enjoy it. Students gain independence but also learn how to collaborate effectively. The faculty is second to none. The student body is very diverse. Although the building isn't the nicest (you can see they put their money where it matters - in the teachers and the materials) the feeling of warmth and active "buzz" just can't be beat. We feel so lucky that we found this wonderful school for our girls!

The Montessori School is amazing! My children have attended this school since they were 18 months and they are now 5 and 3 years old. The toddler program is great. Both of my children learned how to be independent and conscious of others and the environment. The children’s house program, which my children are currently in, is nothing short of amazing. My kindergartner is learning so much. He can draw a map of the world and name all the continents, his math skills are effortless and he is already working on geometry, he loves to read and brings home books each week to read to me, and his knowledge about nature is vast. My 3 year old is soaking up all the learning that is going on like a sponge. The mixed age group (ages 3 to 6) has helped her desire to learn more. She is interested in what the older children are doing and this has increased her love of learning. She now wants to do math and read like the “big kids” and the “big kids” are helping her. The best part is both of my children get upset when I pick them up from school because they want to stay to learn more. As a parent, I couldn’t want anything more. The students are respectful and well mannered, the guides are caring, patient, and are able to find the light in each child that not only makes them want to learn but to learn more. The skills my children are learning are invaluable not just the educational aspect of it but also the human aspect in respecting and caring and helping others. I would highly recommend this school. TMS is giving my children a great head start in their education and in life. I am thankful I found them.

Absolutely one of the best decisions my husband and I ever made was choosing The Montessori School for our daughter’s education! While the exterior of the school is not very exciting, the school more than makes up for it with their curriculum, staff and education experience. The TMS program operates true to Maria Montessori’s principles and is delivered by one of the most dedicated faculty and administration staff. I am constantly amazed by the results this Montessori education has awarded my girls and all the graduates. It provides our children with a foundation of knowledge and skill sets that prepares them for higher level education. Our children learn to master research, collaboration, public speaking and time management all by the sixth grade! In addition to the curriculum, TMS teaches our children the importance of respect for others and peaceful behavior. In comparison to what other school’s offer, the tuition is a bargain. I couldn’t imagine my girls going to any other school. We are so happy to have found TMS!

Our family feels fortunate to have found this hidden gem. Our son is a kindergartner and has attended The Montessori School for 3 years so far, and we are amazed at how and how much he is learning. For example, while we were on vacation last year, he was begging us to write out three and four digit addition and subtraction problems for him, which he quickly solved. This summer, he was adding in his head and singing "2+2 is 4, 4+4 is 8..." up through "4,096 + 4,096 is 8,192." As much as I want to brag about my own child, it isn't that. The environment and method used at TMS is the magic. Each child is able to investigate what they are interested in and ready for. Also, with the mixed age group (age 3 to 6) kids learn to help and be helped, and are both challenged by and respectful of the achievements of others. Incredibly, my son and his young peer group at TMS already have developed an ability to concentrate, and they know how to write, read books, know continents and countries, have a strong understanding of numbers operations and geometry, etc. I highly recommend TMS to any parent hoping for their child's love of learning to be nurtured and to give their child a head start.
