As the Oar House is right on the water, this is definitely a summer place. The doors/walls open up completely and I imagine this is the happening place when it is warm. However, two days after Christmas it was quiet and we were able to celebrate second Christmas without disturbing too many people. The food was fantastic and the server was attentive without hovering, and even brought over a space heater for the table. Will be back to feel its summer vibe.

Good food, no wait for seating. Warm heaters to push the chill out. Great view of water and boats. Nice evening meal. Had fish and chips. Was excellent.

Things I appreciated in this restaurant that is affordable for all and unlike many other places that ask for at least twice as much for the same food.
Real napkins, not paper stuff, real plates, not crappy paper or plastic.

That alone is worth mentioning.

More important thought...

Food cooked as I like it (my hamburger has to moo).

Then add 
Add a waitress (K.L) who does the work well and you have a winning combination.

I will come back and recommend it.

I have eaten here many times and always enjoyed the food. However, this is the first time that I have eaten at the inside bar with a drink and maybe the last. We have been here for an hour now and watched the bartender serve more than a dozen drinks, appetizers and food plus gather sauces AFTER he had his hands in the garbage then handled all the dirty dishes (in flu season) and repeatedly touch the register ( and we are sitting opposite side of bar and can clearly see both register screens is disgustingly covered with dirty fingerprints. He also has handled all the flea dishes WITHOUT  WASHING HIS DAM HANDS NOT THE FIRST TIME!!! Only wipes them on his dirty towel on his pants!!!! Will have to second guess coming here again!!!

Good food, good prices, very friendly wait staff, amazing sunset view from the deck. Small colony of feral cats were more than happy to finish off what we couldn't eat.
