Story

The Old Gym is a proud member of the No Limit Combatives family under Jarrett Becks who holds a one stripe black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a black band in Muay Thai, under the world renowned Israel Gomes, of American Killer Bees. An established fighter in in many realms, Jarrett also holds a brown belt in Judo, a black belt in Shotokan Karate, and a black belt in Seibukan Shorin Ryu Karate, in addition to his ranks in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. Jarrett is committed, energetic, and methodical and he brings these same attributes into his teaching where he instills similar focus, enthusiasm, and work-ethic in his students, for whom he holds the utmost loyalty. We at The Old Gym are lucky and proud to have such a diligent, motivated, and caring head instructor!

Owner/trainer Kelly Leo is a Vicksburg native and has been dedicated to training in Submission Wrestling, Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts since 2006 and was the head trainer at the Madison Wrestling Club from 2007-2013.

In this time he has competed in grappling tournaments throughout the Southeastern US collecting gold medals and championship belts at NAGA, ShootHook, and Submission Sport to name a few.

He is also a professional MMA fighter and veteran of Bellator Fighting Championships, Ultimate Chaos, and Blood & Sand as well as Psychout Fights where he was the first pro welterweight champion for the promotion.

In addition to competing, Kelly also referees and judges MMA fights throughout the state, becoming the first and only person to fight, referee, and judge for Bellator Fighting Championship.

We look forward to developing the next generation of talent in MMA and grappling as well as the opportunity to give Vicksburg the training facility that it deserves.
