I'll be honest ~ this is not a restaurant I would've thought would be a good choice for vegetarian me. But we were celebrating a birthday so to The Palace I went. I'll be honest again ~ I LOVE this place! Dim Sum was something I felt would be over my head, ordering-wise, so imagine my happiness when I discovered the joy of true family style dining. Everyone orders what they want, usually several dishes, take a portion and then off it goes on the huge lazy susan that takes up the center of the table for anyone else to share in. The feeling is so communal, the giving and sharing of food is so joyous. The Palace has delicious food I loved my veggie dumplings and bean curd roll, especially. While not particularly elegant, the restaurant was spotless and the waitstaff excellent. I'm coming back and bringing a crowd!
The food was over steamed/cooked. Even though the portion of dim sum is big, we couldn’t taste any freshness from any of the items we ordered. The skin of har gow was very soggy and broken easily. We love dim sum so much, but probably won’t come back to this place again. $3/per hour to valet or self park at this plaza.
It was ok. I had the xiao long bao and shrimp balls in curry for appetizer. They weren’t freshly made. They had brought them out the second I ordered them. Which is ok but they had some cold spots and just wasnt as good as I hoped. I had the roasted duck soup for my main entree and the duck was pretty good but overall it wasnt that flavorful.
Nice clean place for dim sum on the West side. The only issues I have are the valet parking and the prices for the items. For the same price, I could get twice as much food at other Chinese restaurants. Maybe the rent is too high? The orange chicken was bit too sweet, and the chicken meat was sliced too thin. I actually liked the sauteed spinach, which was cooked just right and then portion was very generous. It was chewy yet soft. Black bean sauce oysters we're decent, but not enough oysters. The dim sum dishes were pretty good, but the prices were a bit steep for each item. The servers were okay, although they didn't speak much English. I liked the fish in the tank as soon as you walk in. The free peanuts were the best.
I recently visited Palace Seafood and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The staff was impatient with my questions and had a hostile attitude towards me. They even tried to pick a fight with me. Their behavior was completely unacceptable and ruined my dining experience. I would not recommend Palace Seafood to anyone.
I lived 3 years in China so I know Chinese food very well. This place is authentic and they welcome you with Jasmine tee and peanuts The portions are really big for a decent price. The taste is good, the roasted duck is good but very bony. The garlic scallops is good. Service is ok and they are very kind and friendly but the place closes early i.e. at 9:00 pm so you will be most probably sitting and eating alone after 8:30. You get a cup of mango custard and a fortune cookie without fortune with your bill
I don’t like the service attitude. We were firstly asked if we want tea and we said no since we thought just water is enough. But later when we asked for water the waiter start complaining. It is so annoying and we just want to leave immediately.
The place is nice and big. Great dim sum, fast service, lots of great food to pick. The prices are great, it is usually really busy. Staff is wonderful, fast, helpful. A must try, bring friends, family Co workers ECT. THEY WILL LIVE IT......
Just ordered take away with Grubhub. Must say, worst quality of food I had in a long time! Tofu within Fried Egg Tofu is watery, no flavor and where is the chicken... Shrimps are of low grade quality and barely satisfactory. Would not recommend.
Ordered here for delivery and don't think will be doing that again. While I know that dim sum is way better fresh and better eaten in a restaurant, the quality of their food was still very poor. The chow mein was super dry and hardly had any beef. The pork and preserved egg porridge was super disappointing - super tiny bits of pork and barely any preserved egg. The siu mai was decently seasoned but the wonton wrapper was super stale and tasted like it's been sitting out for a while. We also ordered BBQ pork buns but instead, we got xia long baos that were totally inedible - super THICK skin and mushy filing. Their vegetable and shrimp spring rolls were super oily and the vegetable rolls barely had any filling. It felt like we were just eating fried spring roll wrapper that's oily on the outside and mushy in the inside.
