While working in Key Largo for 15 days a couple weeks after Hurricane Irma, I had the pleasure of staying at The Pelican in 2 different ocean suites. Given that I didn't know how long I would be working in the area, the office staff did everything they could to accommodate me with another very nice room when the suite I was staying in was reserved by another guest. They were very busy with all of the recovery workers in the area, so I felt very fortunate to have them looking out for me during my stay there. I had no maintenance or cleaning issues during my stay and the staff was very nice. The suites were very spacious, clean and have the most comfy beds! Both have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers, with the larger suite having a full kitchen and screened patio backing up to the bay. The beach is kept very clean and the views are spectacular! I enjoyed my stay here and recommend The Pelican to anyone planning a visit to Key Largo.

We stayed at the Pelican Key Largo for a family wedding. Nearly forty of us were here - each family in a different cottage. Louis, the owner, took an enormous amount of trouble looking after us. He is a special man and he runs this place so well, catering for the needs of the wider family. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is served for two hours in the morning and if you don't want to cater for other meals in the well equipped kitchens, there are plenty of places close by where you can eat at reasonable prices. It is an attractive place by the water and if the weather is good you can go on the water in kayaks, fish or relax by the sea in comfortable chairs in the sun. There was a barbecue there on the beach which we cooked on whilst watching the most glorious sunsets. Thank you so much Louis.

Very easy booking and very quick to respond staff. We emailed them early in the morning and explained that we may need to do a late check in due to traffic concerns. They emailed back literally 2 minutes after they opened in the morning and gave us full instructions on late check in. Our cottage was very cute and clean and I slept like a baby both nights. Nice continental breakfast, convenient location, and very friendly staff. Plus, excellent top-rated restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were in the keys for one night and stayed at the pelican based off of other reviews. The property is beautiful and, had it been a little warmer, we would have loved to sit outside and use the kayaks. Unfortunately, it was cold and windy. The room itself was very basic but had everything we needed. I'd assume that most people don't go to the keys to spend time in their room anyway! The breakfast was basic but sufficient and I appreciated not having to buy breakfast elsewhere.

I loved this place. Stayed in room 107. Two comfy queen beds, fridge, and microwave. Light breakfast, coffee and juice served. Cereal, toast, and yogurt. Not great but nice for a quick bite. Everything was clean and fresh looking. No hair dryer in room. Didn't ask for one though. Maybe upon request. Also had to pay a quarter for a bucket of ice. That, I thought, was a little goofy. But I have never been to the area before. Maybe they do it that way all over in the Keys. All was good. Would recommend. Not a luxury hotel but a very nice place.
