I have only been here early in the morning before it got busy. 
It was nice...my first experience at the ocean...so People's Beach will always have a special place in my heart.

Amazing LGBT friendly beach. Topless optional. I had a great time, but couldn't stay long. The water is shades of blue and mostly clear with patches of seaweed here and there. 
It's a hike--that's the only con. And like any beach, get there early to get a good spot.

Jacob Rios Beach is a fun location for many types of recreation but it needs more restaurants and stores supplying the public with goods and services.

Get here early to get a good spot as it can get busy, especially during summer weekends. The beach is generally clean and well maintained. During the season there are life guards and rangers on duty. Plenty of parking space.
