We bought an apple cobbler pie for cheerleading.  We like to support kids' school, club and sports fundraisers when we can, and are always happy to patronize local businesses.  Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this one.  The crust was too thick, and the apples were tasteless.  We didn't even finish our pieces, and threw the rest of the pie away.  (And it pains me to throw food away.)  Next time, I'll just give the kids money.

We baked the apple pie yesterday, undeniably the worst pie ever. The crust was waaaaay too thick and that apples were almost tasteless. Some cinnamon, any, would have helped. Sorry...not again.

Our friends invited us over to their house tonight for apple pie.  They had told us it was "imported from Manteca".  Oh my gosh, this was the best apple pie I ever ate!!  We can't wait to visit and purchase a few pies for our freezer!!  The apples were firm and a little tart, the crust was flaky and there was just enough juice.  Keep up the good work.....See  you soon!!
