The Pie Pizzeria - Midvale
"The Pie takes no shortcuts! We believe that quality takes time. It would be a MIRACLE if you get your pizza in less than five minutes! We like to consider ourselves old school, with no frozen dough or pre-shred bagged pizza cheese here. Everything at The Pie is made to order. Pizza dough is hand-rolled and hand-tossed the traditional way. We slice our meats, cheeses, and vegetables fresh every morning. Our sauces and dressings are made in-house too. The Pie also offers Utah’s best local Vegan and Gluten Free options. We do this not because it's the new culinary trend, we do this because we are a local family-owned and operated business and have done it that way for over 43 years. To us, it's more about the interaction than the transaction."

Best pizza joint in SLC. If you want a hearty pizza loaded with cheese and toppings that taste amazing, stop here. You won’t be disappointed. They have lots of varieties to suite any taste, and they all taste great. Even the kids fight over it. We love ordering for work parties too. I’ve tired most of the pizzas on the menu and haven’t found one I didn’t like yet. I LOVE the Buffalo Chicken Ranch, but unfortunately the picky kids haven’t developed a civilized palate yet, so I can only order it with friends or coworkers. One day…
Went out to dinner with my wife to the pie tonight and the atmosphere is great as always. We'd come here all the time when our kids were little. We'd get a cheese pull apart and split it between us, the good old days. During college we would go to the one downtown a couple times a month. Tonight we got another cheese pull apart and a 14" Chicken ranch pie. I got them out to us pretty quickly and the pull apart was cooked to perfection. Our chicken ranch on the other hand unfortunately they burned the bacon. The funny thing is when I said "oh dang they burned the pizza", the ladies only comment was "enjoy". This is the first time we have ever not got a perfect pizza. Once we broke off the burnt pieces it was amazing as always, just a little disappointed that they burnt the bacon. Just like everywhere else, price have gone up. Luckily the food is great and is well worth it. We'll definitely be going back, hopefully they watch our pizzas a little closer. If you get a chance try The Pie, it'll be one of your favorite pizza joints. Parking: Parking is a little scare, they have about 10 stalls in front. Luckily you can also park in the Walmart parking.
Delicious pizza! I don’t know how it took me so long to come here!! It’s amazing how fresh the pizza is and you can tell the ingredients are fresh too! The vibe is also super rad! They had so many options! I found myself having a hard time narrowing down what pizza to get! So, we got two so we could try out more flavors!
I ordered a large pizza, half cheese half combination. You can see in the photo what arrived at my house. It was cut in only 4 large slices. A big hunk of cheese was left over the side, while the other half of the pizza had hardly any cheese. I also ordered a dinner salad. It was iceberg lettuce two croutons and one slice of a tomato cut into four pieces. When I called to get a refund, they said they would refund it for me. That has not happened. This is the last time I will ever order from the pie.
I read all of the other reviews about the bad service, etc however we had great customer service at our visit today. We had the chedda pull apart and a pizza, both were great! We got the 16” pizza and had tons of left overs for our family of 5.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
The pizza from this place is really not the same elsewhere, I was so happy to have “ mountain of meats” pizza, so flavorful, so cheesy. I did not have to ask for light sauce or extra sauce like Papa John. My next one would be “cheese pull aparts”, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, fair price and service.
Absolutely amazing and consistent customer service. Our most recent experience was above and beyond fantastic. Ordered 2 pizzas early in the day for delivery during a football game. We have recently had a lot of snow and when the delivery driver got to my street, he couldn’t drive down it for fear of being stuck so he got out and walked down my street to find my house and deliver my pizza. Such care and concern for customers seems to be in short supply these days, so very much appreciated!
Always excellent pizza. Usually I know what I want but this visit I asked for help. The top people I spoke with made every effort to ve as informative as possible regarding their vegan option. I'm not vegan but my son chooses to be. I didn't even think they would have vegan options so it was surprising. I would still prefer meat or fake meat but the help very appreciated and they were both so willing to help. I've always loved this place but now it's even more than before...
My order was delivered with a missing item. When I called them to tell them about the problem....everyone was so nice and understanding... from the person who answered the phone, to the manager, to the delivery driver! Top notch staff! They remade my items that were missing and got them to me right away! Everyone was so great to work with as always..... I've been going to the pie for YEARS for the great food and great customer service. Loyal customer here... thanks guys!
The pizza was phenomenal, but that's about it. The service was abysmal, the employees actually discussed if the guy at the counter was going to walk out and quit, and his customer service was equally poor. The lady at the counter had no idea what we were talking about when we ordered a margherita pizza, as it's "not a specific pizza on the menu." The cost of our small pizza was more than $18, and the cost of that tiny container of balsamic vinegar, was $2.25, same with the steamed tomatoes. I've been to The Pie by U of U and have always been very pleased. I'm quite sad to say that this location doesn't even offer a glimmer of the same experience. The two stars are based solely on how amazingly delicious the pizza tasted. ambiance, service, and cost all dropped the rating
