While finding the Pine Grove Inn, on the river in Patchogue, is not easy, it's worth the trip. The menu had something for everyone.  We started with the crabcake appetizer which was one of the best I've ever had. It was loaded with crab.  We each had one of the German selections for our main course and they were outstanding. I'm embarrassed to admit that we even had dessert, and I'm glad we did. They had a duo singing and they were excellent. Not too loud,so you could still talk at the table. I did see a few people dancing. I can't say enough about the wait staff.  They were welcoming,  proficient and personable.  It is rare to find dining like this on Long Island. We will be back.

Every item on their Long Island Restaurant Week was a great choice. I wish they were still soup to nuts, and a bit more German like years ago. That is just my personal preference. We enjoyed everything.

German dish were good . Drinks very good. Potato pancake was over cooked. Service was very good but should have been there was only a few tables in the whole  place. Place was rustic-looking very old feel not my type of place but some people like it.

Got together with some friends to remember a good friend Rose who passed away a year ago on April 21st 2017 the waitress was very friendly always asking can I get you something the drinks with very good very reasonable price the appetizer for overpriced entrees overpriced but all in all a very nice place to eat. Had a wonderful time with friends.
