Great monthly service with Pool Doctor. Highly recommend their services

Our spa heater is leaking water from an internal connection in my mechanical room. It is a serious problem and I cannot use the spa until it's fixed. This company sold and installed the unit 6 years ago at great expense. When I called last week to get someone out to the house asap I was told it is a 5 to 6 week wait! What? Setting an appointment for a regular cleaning, filter and chemical service is next to impossible. I've practically begged them to put us on a regular quarterly schedule - nope, no can do. It's time to find another service.

This company is very difficult to work with-----never answer the phone, return messages slowly, billed me for a diagnostic and didn't fix the problem and then wouldn't credit me when the problem returned towards the next time they needed to come out. They say they are too busy and overwhelmed. Well they won't be soon enough if this is how they are intending to do business.........

After months and months of green, algae-filled water, with weekly visits and LOTS of extra charges for chlorine, special equipment, etc. etc., I finally contacted another pool service, who told me that the type of system I had necessitated the addition of salt (not chlorine) to the pool, in order for it to make it's own chlorine. They added the requisite salt and voila!! -- sparkling clean water for the first time in a year!! I then contacted the folks at The Pool Doctor to find out why they didn't know this, and they screamed at me that it was my responsibility to tell them what type of system I had. OK. Right. And if I bring my car to the mechanic I need to tell them what type of brake system I have before they fix it? If I had the time to do it, why would I hire someone else? After all, it's not rocket science. After being overcharged by HUNDREDS of dollars, I asked the Pool Doctor people if they would at least reimburse me for all the extra equipment they sold me to deal with my "chlorine problem," and they refused. When I mentioned I would write them a poor review, they threatened to sue me. Wow! These people are nasty nasty nasty. Karen
