Delicious food, great service, wonderful ambience. We went there for the first time to celebrate a birthday (had two vegans and three meat eaters in our party), they were able to accommodate our dietary requests--had a great menu for both diets. Desserts were fabulous. Good size servings. Helpful staff. Oh, and they even printed Happy Birthday on the menus for the birthday girl. Lots of great touches--definitely a new favorite.

Just moved here from MD so all I wanted for brunch was shrimp & grits and a sweet tea, and The Porch had it. Was suprisingly authentic in the details of the southern-style menu from the Mint Juleps to the biscuits and down to the fried green tomatoes. Food was great (and the grits were perfectly cooked) and service was super friendly. Definitely recommend!

The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant itself has a very enjoyable atmosphere (very charming). I went with the beef brisket, and for an appetizer we got fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious, and the brisket was the most tender! Serving sizes are quite large, so it's worth every penny! I also tasted the shrimp and grits that my cousin got, and they were great, too.

Table service could have been more attentive and the food was not spectacular. My husband got the chicken fried steak and it was not comparable to the one he gets at cafeteria 15L. Overall it was great but it wasn't terrible.

The fried chicken had potential. Some bites were really good and others were bland. I don't think they mixed the seasoning very well or they just didn't distribute the seasoning evenly across all of the chicken. One of the few places that you can get sweet tea, fried green tomatoes and cheese grits, and all three are on point! A bit overpriced.
