The food was amazing! The atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful. The customer service was outstanding. Eric, the waiter was so knowledge of the menu items and served with excellence. The owner visited every table and made you feel so welcomed. He genuinely made you feel appreciated. This will be my eating when you come back to Rocky Mount. Be blessed!

Best value barbecue I've had in the entire state. Every course can be amazing. It's my favorite restaurant in Rocky Mount, and Top 5 in my life.

For apps get the spicy wings. For dinner get the choose three meats with brisket (my favorite in the state), ribs, and sausage. My favorite sides are the Mac and cheese and their baked beans. For dessert get either whichever cheesecake sounds best or the chocolate cake.

The cornbread is also incredible.

It will be one of the best meals of your life and the bill will make you feel like you somehow robbed the restaurant.

Had a perfect experience tonight @ The Prime Smokehouse. Good ambiance & music, perfectly cooked & seasoned array of food, good local beer selection, high sanitation grade (96), clean bathrooms, and even though we came less than an hour before they closed and stayed almost 1/2 an hour after they closed our waiter TJ was patient and awesome. No one ever made us feel rushed. Not to mention I love the history behind this diamond-in-the-rough. Even though we live almost an hour away, we'll definitely be back.

Phenomenal! I was really impressed by the restaurant, the atmosphere, the food and the staff. The owner of the place whom I also cooked my steak comes out and checks on you with his wife. It's just something you don't see at many places. I was really impressed and I'll definitely be coming back. It was worth the $80 I spent in there on myself and my date.

Owner came to our table and greeted us. Staff was amazing!  All of us ordered something different & everyone was extremely happy.  Awesome atmosphere & even better food! Can't wait to go there again!
