This was an overall nice experience. We stayed in one of the cabin suites, which was very spacious and had a nice homey/earthy feel. It was too cold for water activities, but they also have a volleyball court, a pond with a dock and covered swings, and a playground for kids. We also saw lots of deer on the property.

The resort was really nice. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because our shower wasn't working correctly and the beds were a little uncomfortable. Nothing that hindered our stay too much. We will for sure be coming back in the summer to enjoy the water park !

Stayed here on a quick weekend trip during off-season. The rooms can be dated but I thought it just added to the experience. Loved getting to wake up in the morning and walk around the grounds and river with the kids. Got to see plenty of wildlife and enjoy the surrounding. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed at The Rock House, right across the street from Schlitterbahn. It's smallish, but not tiny. We were really only there to sleep, so the size wasn't hugely important. There is a nice sized kitchen and a small living room, along with a porch (that we didn't use). The description of the house says there is a room with 2 twin beds, but it actually has a queen sized bed - not a big deal in our case, but it might matter to some. Unfortunately, when we checked in, only 7 of the 17 windows in the house were locked, one window didn't even have a latch. We were in town during the winter, so there was little chance anyone would break in, but it was still a bit of a concern. I alerted the the rental office about the missing latch, so I hope it was fixed before another family checked in.
