Excellent location to spend time with family. Beautiful scenery. We stayed at the Virginian with 8 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room for all. Will definitely be back!

Went here last summer with my wife and two sons. We met my older brother and sister there. An awesome family reunion.  I had gone to Pipestem as a young boy growing up in West Virginia and had very good memories.  This was my first time back in about 35 years. Nothing had changed.  That was a good thing.  We stayed in the Cardinal at The Retreat and we loved it!!!!!  We are going back this summer and my two boys can't wait. They are 11 and 9.  The owner of the cabin was great to deal with and it was as clean as a whistle.  Not one complaint all week.  You can't miss by going here.  We live about 7 hours away and it was sure worth the drive.  We are going white water rafting this year.  Fun.
